    WELCOME TO BIRCHCLAN!!!


    Birchclan is a group of cats that call the tall trees of the forest home!
    ~ TERRITORY~
    The Mothertree: A giant sycamore with a few medium-height branches, where the leader, deputy, and medicine cat sit during clan meetings. A bit farther up the Mothertree is the Leader's Den, a hollow hole in the giant tree, filled with moss and leaves to make cozy living quarters.


    The Warrior's Den: An oak, with sticks layered across the branches to make a platform for nests, with vines draped across the higher branches to create a canopy.

    Apprentice's Den: A young spruce, with various platforms up and down the tree.


    The Healing Tree: A large pine with a large platform that has plenty of room for the medicine cat, his/her apprentice, and the sick. Has many nooks and crannies, perfect for storing herbs and water!


    The Queen's Nest: A hollow rubber tree, comfortable and spacious so that the Queens can raise their kits in peace.


    The Tree of Elders: A very old, hollow eucalyptus. The most comfortable tree, so that the respected elders may live out their life in (semi) luxury.


    The Watchtree: An extremely high redwood, with a platform at the top so one can see rivals coming miles away.


    The Sunning Tree: An oak not far away from the Elder Tree that gets good sun, and has many platforms. It is reserved for the elders, the older warriors, and high ranking cats(I.e. leader, deputy, etc.).


    Fresh Kill Tree: A spruce with a wide plat form where fresh kill is stored.


    The River: A medium-sized river that winds through the base of the trees to a large lake in a valley, surrounded by wild flowers.


    ~ BIRCHCLAN CATS QUALITIES AND DUTIES~


    Leader: assign patrols, survey camp.


    Deputy: assist leader, patrols, mentoring


    Warriors: patrols, mentoring, hunting, whatever else needed


    Apprentices: learning, taking care of elders (changing bedding, fresh kill, etc.), changing bedding for leader, deputy, being willing to help, whatever else needed


    Elders: none. Elders are respected, and compelled to live out their lives in peace.


    Queens: are expected to take good care of kits. If kits are not properly looked after, a foster mother will take over.


    Medicine Cat: to heal the sick, collect herbs, prophecys * Medicine Cats ARE allowed to have mates, but CANNOT have kits, unless a foster mother is willing to take care of them.


    *Birchclan cats are taught to climb and swim at 7 moons. (A moon before they become an apprentice.)


    ~RULES~
    1. No kit killing, no killing clan mates.
    2. Please be mature.
    3. No supercats, I.e. no invincibility, always wins fights, etc. etc. Every cat has a weakness.
    4.NO bullying!
    5. RP!!

    Oakstar opened one eye, shafts of light were filtering through the hole in the tree that was her den. She got and stretched. She yawned a couple of times, then stood up.
    "Wake up, Jaggedclaw. It's morning."
    She then jumped out onto a branch and sat down, just watching the leaves blow in the wind.

    Ic: Blacksmoke awoke in her tree and got up, to the sun shining in the den. She sniffed the air near her herbs. Her face went glum and she checked to see if they had colts foot.


    Silvermist awoke in the Queen's nest and looked down at her swollen belly. She began to groom it.


    Bramblescar jumped out of the Warrior den and went to the clearing in camp.
