"Show off too" Nate joked as he passed by her, "but he's got more experiance on motorcycles than me anyways"
Mike rode beside him, "hey, you got to impress a girl right?" he smiled.
"Show off too" Nate joked as he passed by her, "but he's got more experiance on motorcycles than me anyways"
Mike rode beside him, "hey, you got to impress a girl right?" he smiled.
Alice laughed a bit. "Very impressive." She said lightly. She looked at Mike, "How long did it take you to be able to do that?" she asked with a smile.
"Again I don't remember dates" Mike said, "but I'll be guessing a few weeks and lots of knock outs when I'm trying"
Nate chuckled, "I actually learned it about 5 days Mike finally mastered it," then he drove a little closer to Alice and whispered, "he gets pretty angry sometimes when the motorcycle speeds away without him when he was so close, it's rather entertaining to watch"
"I HEARD THAT!" Mike growled, hitting the side of Nate's motorcycle causing him to falter a bit.
Alice smiled and laughed. She looked at Mike and Nate. She looked at the course ahead of her.
It was simple, just dodging the cones on the ground but they come a little bit too close and needs clear timing in turns.
Nate avioded this one for a slightly more harder one, an empty road it looks like. He sped across it with ease but he was looking to the side like he was expecting something. Then he sped a sharp turn as an explosion rang out, a sharp stone appeared from the ground and was accompainied by many others that appeared right in front of Nate's path.
Mike did this one with Nate but due to the lack of practice on this one, he was knocked over and he fell onto his side, "AH SH*T!" he cursed, pushing himself up.
Alice followed them swerving and maneuvering better than she thought. She focused on the path ahead of her and was careful.
Nate widened his eyes at another explosion, this time when he tried to manuveur around it his wheels were jammed, "what the?!" he flew off the motorcycle and hit the ground hard, but the ground softened as he fell so it didn't hurt to much.
Mike scrambled up, "Nate! You okay?!" it wasn't like him to all of the sudden not dodge that one, this track was his specailty!
Alice drew up beside them and stopped. "You okay?" She asked Nate looking at him.
Nate sat up, wincing as he moved his arm, "yeah, I think I bruised an arm though" he looked at his motorcycle, and press the conmunicator on his helmet, "Light? What's with the motorcycle?"
"What do you mean?" Light replied.
Mike blinked, how could Light not know about this? He's the head of the technology here, "you don't know? The wheel just jammed and tossed Nate over"
"What?!" Light said, like this was news for him, it really was, he knew nothing about this.
"I'm fine though" Nate said, "I just bruised my arm"
Alice looked at Nate. "You sure, it might be fractured, that was quite the fall." She asked a bit concerned.
Nate looked at his arm and flinched, "Light, what's going on?"
"I don't know" Light seemed worried, "any malfunctions or damages should've gone to us"
Mike looked at Alice then back at the communicator, "what about Time?"
"He..." Light trailed off as he spotted Time already working on it but he looked like he was struggling big time to get everything under control, "is everything fine?"
Time looked at Light warily, he didn't gesture or say anything but his eyes read 'I don't know...'
"It could be a virus that over road the hard wiring in the bike." Alice said wondering if that could be it. She looked at Mike then at Nate
"Then Time would've gotten it by now" Nate stated, rubbing his arm, "nothing like this ever happened in the 8 months he's joined, even before he did Light had that checked over as well"
Mike looked at the white motorcycle and tapped the wheel a bit, "I really don't thi-" the motorcycle suddenly went crazy and went autopilot. It sped around with no rider and swiveled towards them....
-------------
Light looked at Time, "hey, what's the matter?" he walked over to the screens.
Time was changing the amount of electricty the building is collecting, and he typed furiously on the keyboards, what the hell?! Please don't overwrite, please don't overwrite!
"Oh shoot." She said looking at the free wheeling motorcycle. She looked at them and then wandered what was going on.
"Get down!" Mike pushed Nate aside as the motorcycle flashed their way. The lights on the wheels activated all of the sudden and flashed a wall of white as it went.
Nate blinked, "oh god" he looked at Alice, "don't run into the walls, they're actually solid and you can crash into it!" he scrambled up and just meerly avoided one of the exploding traps.
---------------------
Time looked at Light and then at the cameras to the second floor. His yellow eye flashed as he turned completely to Light, "shut everything down!" he shouted at him, his throat burned when he talked.
Light looked shocked, Time... was talking, "what?!"
"I said SHUT EVERYTHING DOWN!" Time ordered again, his throat really burned this time. Light stumbled a little as he went to the elevator to carry out the orders to the workers. Time turned back to the screens that read 'overwrite in 2 mins'
Who the hell is this? And how did he get through the security?!
"Got it, don't run into the walls." Alice said looking at them. She jumped away from the exploding trap. She looked around, something was overwriting the system. She knew that for sure.
Nate stumbled a bit as the motorcycle drew a line in front of him, to cut him and the others off. He backed up and just caught the sight of the motorcycle turning before he grabbed it by on of the handles.
Mike stopped and glanced back at Nate, "what in the world are you doing?!" he turned to the boy who strauggled to keep the bike in place. Then he saw what he was trying to do.
Nate gritted his teeth and grabbed the other handle, he gripped hard and the motorcycle suddenly contracted into a small metal bar. The white wall disappeared as the metal bar fell to the ground. Nate fell onto his knees, his arm hurted and he was so tired...
Alice watched shocked. When the wall disappeared she went over to Nate. "You need to get some medical help Nate." She said seriously. "And don't say your fine." She said looking at Mike. "Got any doctors around here?" She asked. She knew the basics, she had taken a year in medical school.
Nate groaned fell onto Mike, he closed his eyes and fell unconisous. Mike held Nate and looked at Alice, "seventh floor, but we may not get there in time before everything is shut down"
----------
From the first floor and up, everything dimmed as the power was shut down. Time was on the 16th floor of course, but he wasn't doing anything now, which wasn't him...
Light entered the room again, "Time?" he looked at the young boy who stood in front of the screens, just standing... "hey, Time?"
Time looked at Light, his eyes have closed as if tired and his yellow eye glowing a bit. He mouth out one word, a name, before he collasped as well...
"Great." Alice muttered. "His arm is probably fractured and needs a splint, sit him down." She said going through the things she learned. She closed her eyes to think. "Is there anything I can splint his arm with until we can get him a real doctor?" She asked Mike.
