Wildkit turned defensively towards Wolfkit, as if to say What're you looking at? He swatted one paw lazily at her, since as much as he pretended to be crabby, he already felt affection for his family.

Wolfkit narrowed her blue eyes at her brother, and returned the swat.
-
Wildkit narrowed his kit-blue eyes at her, and bared his teeth clumsily in a faux snarl, making no noise in the process. He wasn't capable of looking ferocious yet, he just looked comical and adorable. Giving up, the red and white tabby turned away with a dejected look on his face.
-
Instead of imitating her brother and baring her teeth, Wolfkit gave a smile at him. But when Wildkit turned away, the little she-kit let out a high pitched squeal that had meant to be a mew.
-
Floodkit watched the others, curious.
-
With a mournful sigh, Wildkit swung his head back around towards his sister, questioning look in his eyes. What an attention hog. What did she want now? He cocked his head, peering at her face.
-
OOC: Oh dear.. I just checked out the thread where I first applied for this kit, and realized her name isn't Wolfkit. It's Howlkit.. *facepalm*
When she finally had her brother looking back at her, Howlkit began to crawl swiftly over to him. But as she was halfway over to her brother, she stopped. The little black she-kit wanted to walk like her mother did!
Putting one leg under body at a time, the she-kit stood up shakily. She stood one tiny step forward, and then another before falling flat on her side.
She rolled onto her belly, and looked at Wildkit with wide blue eyes. She'd done it! -
(( OOC ;; I was wondering about that myself, but I figured you'd changed it xD Way to go! ))
Wildkit's face broke out into a reckless grin- anything his lame sister could do, he could do better! Without stopping to think about it, he attempted to throw himself onto his paws, feeling pride flush through him as he was catapulted up into the air, but the weight of his body upon his paws for the first time threw him off, and he somersaulted over himself, landing in a heap at Howlkit's paws, ashamed.
-
OOC: *does another facepalm* I don't know how I got that mixed up. Then again, wolf and howl are pretty similar. Somewhat.
IC: Howlkit snickered, then bent down to prod her brothers shoulder with her nose. Get up and try again! was what the action meant.
-
(( OOC ;; Well, people always seem to want to put 'wolf' and 'howl' together, so it's logical that you'd get them mixed up. Both of those are in her name, right? ))
Wildkit sent his sister a slightly resentful glare, and shrugged off her attention. He would do this, and do it now. Struggling, more carefully this time, though still recklessly, to his paws, he was surprised to find himself carefully balanced on all four paws, not going anywhere. Determined to still do better than his sister, he attempted to take several steps forward, once again rushing into something he wasn't ready for, and again tripping over his rather large paws and landing on his face.
An angry sigh racked his thick body, and the irregularly patterned red and white tabby thrust himself to his paws again, ready to attempt another step. He had learned nothing. That was his problem- he refused to learn from his mistakes, and everything around him that went wrong was, of course, through no fault of his own, and so he had nothing to fix. However, this was not a generally popular idea, and so later in life he would find it beneficial to keep such things to himself.

Chokes watched the kits take their first stumbling steps. "You keep at it!" He crowed.
-
Dean sat down by his brother, watching the kits tumbling around. It was actually kind of...stupid. They were really stupid, weren't they?
-
OOC: Yeah her name is going to be Howl of the Lonely Wolf or something like that. XD
IC: Howlkit frowned from where she sat. Her brother sure was stubborn... !
Standing, she took a few wobbly steps to stand beside him, and then prodded him again with her nose. Like this! The gesture said. And with that, the black she-kit took a few more shaky steps forward before she fell over.
-
"Are they stupid?" Dean asked, tilting his head to the side. They couldn't even walk! Of course, he was never aware that babies had to learn everything.
-
Howlkit pricked her ears, hearing a new voice. The black pelted she-kit turned to see Dean standing there, with hid head tilted to the side. She let out a mew, not sure who he was. Nevertheless, the kit stood back up on wobbly legs, and took a step towards the tom. She managed to get a few mouse-lengths before falling over on her side. But she didn't give up. Howlkit was determined to walk to Dean, so she tried again. And once again the she-kit fell onto her side.
Howlkit finally made it to Dean after many attempts at walking. She fell onto her side at his paws, and looked up at him with wide blue eyes.
-
Chokes stretched out and settled into a nap.
-
Dean watched the young she-kit trying to toddle her way over to him. "No, no! It's like this," the tom explained, getting to his paws and swishing his tail. He attempted to show the she-kit how to balance her body and walk. It didn't make much sense to him, that they couldn't even manage something so simple.
-
Howlkit tipped her head in confusion.. what was he doing? Did this older cat want her to follow him?
The black pelted kit got to her paws clumsily, and wobbled after Dean. -
Floodkit watched the cats, curious.
-
Dean felt a tiny smile beginning to grow on his face. A brief show of compassion for the stupid creatures he was trying to teach. "Yeah, like that!" the kit called in encouragement, nodding his head eagerly. They were still a bit green at the gills, wobbling all over like crazy...but at least she was actually on her paws, and not on the ground.
