"Ambrosiaflare?" called Waterskipper, sitting beside Lunecry as she lay convulsing on the bed. "Ambrosiaflare, it's an emergency!"
Lunecry got bit by a SNAKE!

Raspberrykit sat down beside Lunecry, as well, while her eyes explored the Medicine Cat Den. Who knew it would smell so...herb-like? Well, of course she knew, but this scent was strong! It felt like a strong current of water, just pushing against her nose. It was so tangy, she had to keep it from twitching constantly.
-
Wildkit didn't want to be near her mother in her state, but kept her eyes on her. She was dying, wasn't she? She knew so well that her mother could die, but no one would say it... was she the only one anticipating it?
"What if Ambrosiaflare doesn't come..." Her tone was low and her breath was shaking with silent sobs.
-
"Then does anybody else know anything about snake bites?" Waterskipper struggled to keep her calm. She just couldn't lose another daughter.
-
Not even a everything will be alright. Waterskipper - certainly one of the most trustworthy cats she had ever known - couldn't bring herself to say that. It never meant anything, but if she couldn't...she wasn't sure. Grandma didn't know if she would live.
"What will happen." Wildkit reiterated, no question in her tone, quieter than before.
-
"I don't know, honey, but she won't die," said Waterskipper. That was probably what the kit wanted to hear. "Lunecry's been through a lot worse. She survived being flown around in a tornado, do you know?"
-
"Really?" Raspberrykit perked her ears. She had heard about those tornado things. They were supposed to be a big, swirling cloud, that could kill cats, or so she heard. Her eyes widened,"How?" She questioned curiously.
-
"Lunecry told me about it later," said Waterskipper. "She was trying to get Splotchy to shelter late last summer when it happened. They both got swept up."
-
"Yep," Splotchpaw said walking into the den giving her mother licks on the shoulder trying to keep her alive. "We were swept and flew for what seemed like a century, yet it was maybe a few minutes. We then landed way out near Barley's barn."
-
Having been taking advantage of the good weather and earliest blooms, Ambrosiaflare arrived back in camp, sensitive hearing picking up the voices coming form her den. She dropped a mouthful of marigold petals that trailed behind her, she pelted full-tilt to the entrance and arrived in a rush of the small golden buds. "Lunecry." With great effort the medicine cat controlled her thudding heart and paused only for one very deep calming breath. "Where was she bitten?" She asked, already having recognized the signs of snakebite. And more importantly... what variety of snake had bitten Lunecry.
-
OOC:there really wasn't a discription on the snake...
IC:Hailkit pushed into the medicine cat den. She charged over to Lunecry, almost touching Ambrosia.
-
"The left back leg--look," Waterskipper motioned Ambrosiaflare to have a look at this. Lunecry's hind leg was swollen like a balloon. It was a bad bite. "Please--please hurry!"
-
"I don't know what type of snake, maybe a corn snake or some kind of moccasin," Splotchpaw told Abrosiaflare.
-
Snakes are snakes, figured Wildkit as a back thought, what does Splotchpaw mean by what type of snake?
The panic of her family was not hidden; and yet still others seemed so apathetic, as if this was the typical there's-a-thorn-in-my-paw medicine den visit. Both made her that much more hopeless, and she was quiet save for poorly suppressed sobbing.
-
"It'll be okay." Waterskipper nuzzled her granddaughters one by one. "She won't die. She'll make it."
-
Magickit was carried in my Orchidblood moaning. "Momma," she whined. "Grandma, my ankle hurts really, really badly."
-
Orchidblood placed Magickit down on the bed next to Lunecry's. "Oh Starclan, Auntie Lune..."
"She'll be fine," said Waterskipper. "Magickit, what happened?"
"She hurt her leg," said Orchidblood. "Can't even walk."
-
((OOC| Assumign Lunecry isn't lucid right now))
"Starclan help her." Murmured Ambrosiaflare in a quiet, focused plea. The swelling indicated poison...how much or from which variety she couldn't say. She quickly rearranged the queen's body and pulled her leg out carefully, motioning Waterskipper over. "Lean both your forepaws here. Put some pressure upon the joint - it will help stop and poison spreading."She reached for garlic, carefully pried open Lunecry's jaws and slipped in the first half of the large dose of the detoxifying herb. She tilted her head upwards and massaged her throat in order to get the herbs down. "One moment please Orchidblood, Magickit."
-
Waterskipper followed her instruction and placed pressure on Lunecry's leg with her front paws. She looked at her medicine cat for affirmation. "This good?"
-
Blazingkit peeked in and padded over to Lunecry. Already, she had taken the queen as some sort of second mother, and so, she buried her face in the fur and began sobbing.
