Firetail stood proudly on top of a couple of boulders. His territory. His home. But he had no mate no love....no kits. He was missing three very important things.

Lilyleaf was walking through the area, headed back to her Clan. She stopped and sniffed thebair. Shebsmelled a tom, and he didn't smell like he was from the clans or twolegplace. She went to investigate.

Firetail sighed.

She creeped up behind the boulder he was standing on. The wind was blowing toward her, so he couldn't smell her, but she could smell him. A twig snapped beneath her paw. She froze.

He looked over, walking over to her he growled, "Why are you on my territory?"

She backed up, afraid now. "I-" the wind shifted, blowing her scent toward him.

Firetail stopped, she smelled...really nice. "Um....I'm Firetail."

"I...... I'm Lilyleaf," she meowed uncertainly, sitting down, but still tense.

Firetail gazed at her looking at her from head to tail.

Lilyleaf's tail tapped on the ground, and her dainty paws sheathed and unsheathed her equally-dainty claws.
