staring to the center of the camp her sightless eye closed as her other scaned the area. she huffed and stood up, knowing enugh was enugh she needed a mentor to replace her old one if she wanted to become a warrior. she then looked up at the sky both eyes open she smiled as the wind blew a familure scent to her. "I will always remember you" she mewed

Coyotetail padded up behind the young apprentice. She looked very upset for some reason. He began to feel sympathy for her when he realized that she was upset about her former mentor. He sat beside her. "You still upset about your old mentor?" he asked quietly to her.
-
she looked up at him and shook her head "she knew me better then anyone in the clan" she mewed then looked at her paws "why did she have to..."
-
Coyote felt deep sympathy for the apprentice. He had lost his mother when he was a kit. "That's life. Some things go on, but your mentor will remain in yor heart. But, you also must move on."
-
he looked up at him and tilted her head "you think?" she asked her blue eye was open a crack now but only a milky dull white color could be seen her other one shined in comparison. "she was the only one who would train a half blind outsider like me though" she mumbled
-
Coyotetrail chuckled. "No, there are probably tons of warriors dying to mentor you. I would be happy to do it. I also have a 'disability'. I'm deaf in one ear," he meowed, and pawed at his left ear.
-
she smiled "would you rily?" she asked
-
"Of course," he meowed. "I love mentoring. It just makes me feel like I'm important to the clan."
-
she stood up "i never been tought fighting, so I think thats what we should do next" she mewed
-
"Okay, lets go outside of camp," he mewed, and stood up, padding towards the camp enterance.
-
she folowed him watching his every step "where we going to" she asked her bushy tail waved in the air
-
"We're going to a clearing thats near the river. It's where I always liked to train when I was an apprentice." He padded forward towards the river. "Here we are. Now, how much do you know?" he asked the young cat.
-
she looked at him confused "i i i dont rily know" she stumered "I guess I have fought befor, other said i have, but I dont remember...." she trayled off
-
"Okay, just checking. We'll start with the basics. Watch my every move," he purred, then backed up. He pictured a cat facing him, mocking him. He launched himself at the imaginery cat. If it was actually there, there would have been a nasty scar across his flank.
-
she watched intently and nervicely her tail twitching she wondered if he could do this....
-
"Do you want to try?" he asked her. "It's a lot easier than it looks."
-
"can i try to get you?" she asked
-
"Sure," he purred. Coyotetrail padded over to stand in front of her. Maybe four tail lengths away. "Just go whenever you're ready."
-
she nodded nervice took a deep breath and then ran at him as fast as she could aming a strick at his face
-
Coyotetrail ducked easily out of the way. "That was great!" he purred with satisfaction.
