My Speach:

This is a cruel way of life. Animals being treating like scum, it is just sad. The people don't understand that their are other things in life but themselfs. These animals are being starved, beaten, and neglected. They are lying there in the rain, wondering what they did wrong, wondering when their people will come home. Doing somthing as simple as barking could end up in a useless punishment. Being hung, punched, smacked, kicked, whiped, starved. They wonder why they were left and mistreated and just want to find their way home. They are on the side of the rode, shaking in fear that YOU could be the one to end their life with a baseball bat, or any tool. They are tied to trees in the freezing snow, not knowing what to think of it, wondering when they will be back in their warm house. Animal abuse is not a joke, it is a way of life for some.

My opinion of the Hunger Games:

Katniss Everdeen is an unlikable poacher with a neglecting mother and neglected little sister. Bad luck comes her way left and right, unrealistically.

Katniss Everdeen's little sister is called into the Hunger Games. She volunteers, which I would too. Luckily I have only an older brother, too old to be in the Games. So lucky him.

Gale thoroughly irritates me. From his bad attitude to his obsessive disorder, what really irritates me is his eyebrows.

But I am not "Team Peeta". Peeta is not my favorite name, I would rather name my child Lumphley (Lump-Flea) than Peeta. He comes from a bad family and is honestly just too whiney beyond comprehension. He is no better than Gale, and is NOT a good match for Katniss AT ALL.

I imagine Gale as an abusive husband to an innocent District 12 girl. Katniss, going on to be a cruel high-ranking government authority, and Peeta having a loving wife who is as caring as him.

I was angered when Rue died, I was mad at the AUTHOR for that. And when Prim exploded, as well as the WELL WRITTEN description of toddlers opening bombs, killing babies and children. But the most HORRIBLE thing about the Hunger Games Series for me, would have to be Effie Trinket. From her hot pink hair to those eyelashes, I was so irritated when it described her appearance I actually closed the book and went on the computer.

I think her and Haymitch would have been a LOVELY couple. A LOVELY and DYSFUNCTIONAL couple.

BUT! I cannot review all of the flaws (In my opinion, and I am a STUBBORN person).

It was an incredible plot. From the Districts, to the Muttations, to the overdressed Caesar Flickerman. A series well-written and advanced. I like the roleplays of fan-made Hunger Games on this site MUCH better than the original plot.

I rate the Hunger Games (Including Catching Fire and Mockingjay) 4.5 stars EACH.

I am picky and snobby, but I think that Suzanne Collins wrote three pieces of art.
