"Okay, well I guess practice won't hurt you will it?" She asked. "alright, to the training grounds we go!" She purred, then began to run again.

She bounded after her. "c'mon guys!" she meowed. She loved to hunt! Not for the killing part, but for the fun of the chase!
-
Flamepool stopped at the training grounds. Then she sat down, and looked at the apprentices. " show me your hunting crouch." She meowed. "from there we can see what we need to improve."
-
She nodded and crouched down. She pulled back her ears and shifted all her weight onto her haunches. "Like that?"
-
"Yes." She praised the apprentice. " Don't forget to stiffen your tail, and lay it on the ground. Swishing your tail could give yourself away, and scare your prey."
-
She nodded. "Ok." she tried it once more, doing as she was told, but her tail still swung a bit.
-
"Steady your tail." flamepool instructed slowly.
-
She nodded, still in her crouch, and let her tail lay on the ground. She felt a bit off balance, but her tail kept steady.
-
Flamepool nodded. "That's a bit better." She purred. "Just make sure you even out your weight, so you don't feel like a lopsided badger."
-
She purred. "Ok." she sat by the others.
-
Flamepool nodded, and waited for her apprentice to make a move.
-
Winterpaw crouched down attempting to imitate Streampaw's hunting crouch. His weight was uneven and he squirmed to try to balance it. His ears were up.
-
Shadowpaw watched impressed and tried it. His tail stuck straight out like a twig.
-
Flamepool smiled at how perfectly well Shadowpaw had done it. "Well done, Shadowpaw." She meowed. Then she walked over to Winterpaw. "Your weight is uneven. You need to switch some of your weight to your right side, instead of your left. Be sure to keep you ears down, and stick your tail flat on the ground." She instructed to her apprentice. "It's still pretty good for your first try."
-
Shadowpaw smiled and sat up. He brought his white paw up to his face and swiped it across his nose.
-
She watched intently. Even though she managed to get it right, she wanted to tune into every tip she could.
-
Shadowpaw padded closer to Streampaw.
"Your crouch was great." -
She purred and raised her chin. "Thanks!"
-
Shadowpaw smiled, his eyes brightening.
-
She smiled. "Yours was pretty good too."
