Lovelace had smiled at the cat as she had turned towards her stick as she had took the stick and placed it on the small cream tabby she-cat and placed it on her forehead to made a crown with the raven feathers. "My black swan" She joked at the cream tabby.

  • ooc: [nervous]*sqeal!*[/nervous] Dang I'm nervous.

Dangerzone wondered if he should offer to help those who still needed it, but at the same time a jealous inside told him not to. There was no need to push them closer to the finish line, and closer to perfection! At the same time.... They needed help.

Torn with indecision, he just flopped down again and rolled his eyes.

  • >> wow that's quick (:

    >ic. Skywalker admired Lovelace's work. "Wow, that's good," he mewed.

  • "Hold. Still. Mangrove! I need. To glue these. On!" and what an odd sight it must have been. With a pair of stained paws groping around inside an apprentice's mouth; though had you been there, you would have realized Gravity was trying to give her model fangs of a sort, made out of sharpened vole bones.

Upon the absence of fur in her mouth, Mangrovpaw promptly closed her jaws, giving a squeak of surprise as they clanged together, but didn't fit quite right. "Wha id oo o o eee?"
"What did I do to you?" stepping back, the she-cat gave a slow, satisfied smile.
    "I made you a fox."

Shades and tints filled in her cheekbones, giving her a more angled feature from a distant glance. Traveling down her crimson coat, more shades filled in her muzzle, or should we call it 'snout'; for Gravity had stained her pink nose black and added the stems of feathers onto her muzzle, appearing to giver her model straight, coarse whiskers. Speaking of coarse, a blend of berry juice and juniper mix spiked her pelt slightly, giving a very wild, feral appearance. Blackberry mush stained the tips of her ears, and added something like exaggerated markings-possibly even eyelashes, to the edges of her almond-shaped eyes. But what she felt pride in the most, was the tail.
Bushed out from layer after layer of careful dabs of feathers, accented with berries to give it a more realistic red, it could very well be a bushy tail belonging to that of a fox. Travel the steep incline to the very tip and see a snow-capped tail, melting back down into a dark red color.
And at the base of Mangrovepaw's neck lay a collar. A collar of felt that resembled that of a soft kittypet. Until you saw the teeth. Vole's teeth studded like jewels from the scrap of fabric, puncturing the collar in such ways as to believe they were placed in a fit of power and rage, jagged and unwelcoming. And, of course, accompanied by two beak protruding from the visible side of the collar. Of sooty grey and pumpkin orange, they made a nice decoration.
At the end of each white forepaw stood a row of cream claws, sharp and ever unsheathed. Teeth of the same design made a home in her slightly parted maw, giving off a ferocious aura.
Oh, Gravity had not gone for elegance nor vibrant-like designs.
She had created a whole new creature.

  • Melanitemask tilted his head to the side, examining what was going on with an interest he usually never expressed, his eyes livid with fascination as he watched the others work. Could this be true? Did he really have such a chance? His mind raced and he smiled as he approached the group. He noted how the others all had models to work on, and seemed to gaze around the space, his hazel eyes finally falling upon Peridotpaw, who seemed as if to be waiting in the space for someone to come along and use her as their subject. The tom jumped at the chance at getting to design using her as a model, noting her light, cream-colored coat. It had the sort of color that would work well with what he had in mind.

"Hello Peridotpaw," he murmured quietly, in such a trance of focus that he could not really speak up. In a way, it was much easier around her though. He had known her since she was just a kit. They had never been friends of course, but they still held conversations from time to time regarding simple things. The young apprentice, understanding that he was thinking, did not respond and simply held herself in such a way as to make it easy for him to work with his ideas of designs.

Melanitemask rustled through some of the things that he was given, and quickly went for the berries of course, knowing very well that they could be a simple tool in starting out what he planned. The darkest berries were his first choice, and he found himself stepping on them with his paws before taking the juice and other leftovers of what remained, spreading them in a neat circle along the center of Peridotpaw's back. It created a nice purple hue once added, and he smiled as he soon enough went back to work. It was not long before he had added a light ring of purple around the original circle, managing to make it look as if it was fading along her back in that circular motion that he had desired all along.

"What else do you plan on doing?" she asked curiously, not moving her head but letting her eyes follow him as he worked. It felt odd to have to stand so still, but she had long grown used to it. This was nothing out of the ordinary. after all.

"You'll see. I promise you will like it too." It wasn't difficult to notice the confidence that he held in his work at the current moment. He was still nervous in a sense of how this would all turn out, but he was hoping for the best, and he knew that if he continued to work hard enough it only meant he tried his hardest.

  • She watched Gravity for a while, then turned her attention to the sky.Maybe she should add on to her model...looking at the flowers,an idea sparked in her mind.A field of flowers...Gaathering many flowers, along with some golden grass, she put it all over Albinopaw, everything covered,Well, except for her eyes, obviously.

  • the small brown tabby she cat brought springshy out from their shadowy place, her fur now coated in leaves and dye, the bright flowers around her neck bringing out her eyes. she looked nice - maybe not her best work, but c'mon, considering she wasn't as artsy as everyone else, she was on a roll. she bounced a little, her bright yellow eyes lighting up. "springshy! omigosh, you look amazing!" she purred, sweeping her tail around the she cat's dry fur.

springshy was still pretty oblivious as to what was going on. the ginger and white tabby looked around, looked back at mythchaser, and then looked around again. "mythchaser, what the hell is going on?" she asked, her voice having a snappy edge to it. arts and crafts were her thing! mythchaser probably couldn't paint a pretty picture, even if she wanted to. wait - then how bad did she look?

the small warrior ran to a puddle of water right by the warrior's den, studying her reflection carefully. there were colors. lots of em'. and...were those fall leaves there? and then her ear - a flower? and flowers around her neck too? why, springshy felt so...beautiful. she smiled down at herself in the puddle before another cat walked into it, spraying her in the face. "what the hell was that for?" she shouted after her clanmate, clearly upset that her face had been splashed.

  • "I don't like not being able to see it," Peridotpaw whispered under her breath, trying to find any excuse to be able to move around as Melanitemask worked. It wasn't just standing there that bothered her either. Though she felt it was great to get to be a model, part of her couldn't help but be uneasy about what was being done to her pelt. You could never really know exactly what they did to it. The apprentice could only hope for the best coming from Melanitemask in this regard.

"Just give me some time," he managed to say, holding a feather in his mouth as he moved things around and found a nice pile of berries that were blue in color. Just what he needed. He placed the juices from the stomped berries on his paw and start to make dot marks coming out in a straight line from the b purple fading pattern in the center of her back. The path went up until her forehead and beginning of her tail. He had his own idea for the face and tail as well as legs. He continued working, adding blue stripes to all of her legs and tail, matching the other colors he had used for the previous designs that were now on her pelt.

Now, he knew he wanted to use feathers. They had always been a favorite of his and he thought it would look rather nice if he placed one behind one of her ears. It was just a question as to what type and color he wanted to use to complete it. The few options that he had to choose from were leaving this tom stumped, and it was almost like his mind had shut down for a period of time. It wasn't that he wasn't sue of what to do. It was the simple matter of wanting to choose what looked best. With his conflicting emotions, he managed to pick out one thin green feather. Now much more confident of his choice, he picked it up with his teeth and placed it behind her left ear so that it showed behind the background of purple and blue colors. It matched. He could only notice this and smile, happy that he had been provided with one that ended up working well.

"Now, I really just want to give you a smell. Nothing strong though. I was thinking of something with a light air to it. Daisies? I think I'll go with daises." As the tom sorted through his choices, scenting each one, Peridotpaw simply tried not to look amused and stay still. He acted like a sort of controlled ball of energy, racing around and finding things, speaking quickly about what he thought, and then repeating. It was as if he needed to speak of what he saw to make any final conclusions. It wasn't something she ran into often either.

"Are you finished finding anything yet?" She asked timidly, trying her hardest to find out without interrupting him while he looked through the pile.

"I think I found those daises," Melanitemask replied, padding back towards her with a single flower in his jaws. "This is the final piece. After that I'll let you look." There was a smile to his face as he spoke, almost like he was joking as he did so. It stayed this way as he continued to rub the flower along her pelt, hoping that perhaps some of the scent would rub of on her to the point where it could be scented in the air.

  • [font=georgia]Soappaw decided to sit and wait in front of his model until Lovelace called the final announcment. He especially admired the thorns dotted along the long widing tail of his friend, but the leaf 'sheild' and ferocious red lines across the face of the handsome male were extremley clever in his mind as well.

Looking nonchalant and calm, or as best as he could, Dangerzone sat down and waited for Lovelace. Casting occasional glances at his model, the silver cream tom couldn't help but be proud and pleased with his ideas.

  • [font=georgia]Soappaw glanced around, his eyes reflecting nothing at all as they paused on Dangerzone. He'd seen him before, right? Oh well.

  • Skywalker continued to examine his model, and eventually he realized more of what he had done. His model seemed more like a rainbow with a few splotches of pawprints. Brilliant! Now that he had figured it out, he sat down to signify he was finished, waiting hopefully for Lovelace's decision.

  • Melanitemask looked over Peridotpaw, stepping back to view his work. The gleam in his eyes was apparent as he looked over it, quite happy with his work. The two different shades on her back still held that sort of fading look he wanted them to have while the blue dots that went from the base of her head to the start of her tail were in a straight line and not slanted, or at least from what he could see. The blue lines crossing Peridotpaw's legs and tail seemed to look find for him. The green feather by her left ear was still and place, and the soft but sweet smell of the daisy filled the air close to her. There was a slight air of discontent though, and he soon found himself placing a purple pawprint between her eyes to complete the look as well as adding the color to her paws.

"Now I am finished. I am sure of it this time." Melanitemask spoke with a tone of reassurance, sure that by this time Peridotpaw had grown somewhat impatient. He knew he would have been. Especially at that age. It was always difficult to sit still when there was so much to see and do. Why stay in one place? To gain this type of thinking is to experience it, and he had done so before.

"I wish there was a rain puddle close by," Peridotpaw lamented, finally allowing herself to look around the room. She could see many other models either being worked on still or waiting contently to be seen. Part of her felt mousebrained for making such a nuisance out of herself, but the other yearned to see what she looked like. After all, this was her first time as a model.

"Just wait for now. I'm sure you will come across one soon today. Why don't you just think a bit? I regret not pondering things more as an apprentice. You do not realize how much you miss when you accept time flying by then." Malenitemask, though appearing to be calm as he spoke, was basically all nerves. He sat beside Peridotpaw with out outgoing look on his face, trying his best to seem like he was alright, but it was quite the opposite. What would Lovelace think of what he had done? That alone was making it difficult for him to think. In a way it was expected from him though. What was Melanitemask not nervous?

Everything was going to be alright. He was cool. He was awesome! Starting to believe himself, he grinned and rolled his shoulders, casting glances towards the others. Soappaw? Hadn't he seen that cat before. Oh, yeah. Danger turned a bit red, remembering that he had helped him get his paw out of that stupid snake hole he'd been caught in. Stupid thing. Stupid him! How in the name of StarClan hadn't he seen that stupid hole?

The tomcat shook his head and focused on the others. A lot of them had very pretty models, but he refused to believe that they were better than him.[/fancypost]

  • springshy stiffened nervously as lovelace padded up and down the models, examining them carefully. mythchaser also stiffened, attempting to read the she cat's expression. her brown fur stood on end and she shivered carefully. she just wasn't sure...maybe this wasn't her true calling...maybe she would be embarassed by even trying...this was going to be tough, she decided, looking around at the other models. some cats showed so much more promise than her skills and she just sat down and looked at the ground. springshy was right - she wasn't a good artist. but then again, it was lovelace's opinion. maybe she would have a chance after all.

  • Skywalker gave his model a reassuring smile, and the white she-cat painted with rainbows held a proud look and puffed out her chest. Personally, the brown tabby thought she looked like a goddess, she was breathtaking. Hopefully Lovelace liked the design as well.

  • Ice slowly walked around his model, feeling confident. He had tried his best, and now he had a design he could be proud of. It didn't matter to him that some of them may be better than his, it was his design, and he loved it. 'Maybe next time I could go for a..hmm..maybe a bear like design. I heard those things are crazy..Maybe something like a Tiger? Who knows.' He thought to himself. Oh, this will be a fun time.
