frost kit needs a family

Skywhisker was stalking a rabbit. She pounced and killed it in one quick blow. She buried it when she caught the scent of a kit. She followed the scent to see Frostkit sitting on a rock. "Hello," she said quietly, "I'm Skywhisker,"

"Hi! You look hungry would you like this? I'll catch another," said Skywhisker kindly.

"Aww, foxdung it's beginning to rain," said Skywhisker,"Follow me," she said. She led the kit to a small den the young traveler was using.

A dark mottled tortoise-shell tom peered out from the back of the den. Hi, Skywhisker!...what is this you have here? he mewed, his voice deep and commanding, though hyes bright green eyes shone with concern. (his name is Silentfang. Could he be Skywhisker's mate? :3)

Skywhisker touched noses with her mate Silentfang. "Hi Silentfang, this is Frostkit," said Skywhisker,"I found her while I was hunting."

Silentfang stared skeptically at the kit. Suddenly, his eyes softened and all sterness left his tone. Well make yourself at home, little one! There is a small pile of prey at the back of the den. He turned toward Skywhisker and touched noses with her. I'll keep guard outside the den. Make sure she's comfortable here. She can sleep in my nest for now. he whispered as he padded out of the warm den into the cool rain, the only shelter he had was a small canopy, but he was okay with that; he would do anything to protect his mate, and he had scented other cats around this place before.

"Thanks," said Skywhisker. She carried the white furred kit to Silentfang's nest. "Tomorrow, I'll go get some fresh moss for her," said Skywhisker to herself.

"Are you still hungry Frostkit," asked Skywhisker.

"C'mon then," she said leading the kit to the small pile of fresh-kill, "Pick what you want." Skywhisker picked a vole.
