  • OOC: Here's a bio link for Lilyblossom. Please read, as it explains a lot:

Lilyblossom padded along the riverbed, sighing deeply. The gentle wave lapped at her paws. There were so many happy couples in RiverClan. Why can’t I be one of them? She thought despairingly. Wanting desperately to clear her head, she dived into the cool water. Immediately it surrounded her with its refreshing aura. A small school of trout swam by at a leisurely pace. Hooking one with her sharp claws, she pulled it to the surface. She gasped in hot Greenleaf air, tossing the fish onto a hard rock. There was a sharp cracking sound, and then it lay still. Lilyblossom’s green eyes shone with pleasure at her catch. She hauled herself out of the water and shook off her brown tortoiseshell pelt. She sat and quickly licked her paw. She ran it over her face, which was half white and half brown, split in a perfect vertical line. Now she had a big fish, wet fur, and a beautiful day on her side. But the bright riverside clearing she was in was awfully empty. If only she had someone to share it with, it would be perfect…

She shook her head, as if to clear her thoughts. "I'll be fine." She reassured herself. Her optimism was the only thing keeping her sane, and she knew it. She took a deep breath, gazing up at the clear blue sky.

  • Whiskertail walked through the RiverClan territory with one of his clanmates, Ivorypelt. The off-white she cat purred happily as they wandered around the trees towards the river, Whiskertail's light brown tabby pelt blending in with some of the trees. His green and browns eyes shined in the sunlight, making them look more green. It was Ivorypelt who had suggested a walk right after her warrior ceremony; she wanted her first time out if camp to be with her former mentor, and Whiskertail had agreed. Suddenly his companion announced that she smelled a mouse, so he told her to meet him by the river in a little while.

As he came up to the running water, a scent wafted to his nose. It was a cat...a she-cat. One look down the river had him staring at the tortoiseshell form of Lilyblossom, who had crouched down with drenched fur to eat a fish. The white on the bottom of Whiskertail's jaw and chest glowed brightly in the now fully revealed sun. Padding up to the she-cat, he crouched down with her and sniffed the trout.

"Hey, Lilyblossom," he meowed, then gestured to the trout. "Mind if I have a bite of that?"

  • Lilyblossom smiled, turning toward the bright eyed tom. "Sure, Whiskertail." She purred, nudging the fish towards him. She gazed into his green eyes with hers, a contented expression on her face. Now she had company, and it was lucky that it was such a nice tom. But inside, she was unsure of herself. Did he know who she really was? Hopefully not, as she hadn't seen him much during her apprentice days. Still, there was a chance he'd seen her fight, and it unnerved her. She purred louder, not one to let her doubts show. Her tail lightly brushed against his, and she blushed.

  • Whiskertail thanked her and took a bite out of the fish, chewing slowly so as to savor the flavor. He felt Lilyblossom's eyes on him as he chewed, and his pelt started to get hot with embarrassment. Not that he would admit it to any cat, but he was glad to get away from Ivorypelt for a while; she was too clingy as an apprentice, and he thought he knew why, though he never let on that he did. Just as he was thinking about that, Lilyblossom purred louder and her tail brushed against his slightly, making the heat in his pelt increase. His paws fidgeted uncomfortably as he swallowed the bite and sat up to wash his face.

"That was good," he mewed as his paw wiped his ears.

  • Im not joking but I just had to say this: I also have a Lilyblossom who is in RiverClan...Bye!

Yeah, it's not my most creative name. I wanted something pretty and very RiverClan, and I came up with Lilyblossom.

IC: Lilyblossom was panicking inside. She sensed that he felt uncomfortable, so she scooted a tad away from him. It wasn't her true nature, was it? He had no idea. No, it was something else, and it hurt her a bit. "Yeah, it was...great." She stumbled over her words a bit. Instinctively her claws slid out. Who was he to reject her? She forced her claws to sheathe, taking a deep breath. She didn't know if he was rejecting her or not. Relax, Lilyblossom. Chill. She smiled.

OOC: A lot of internal struggle here. It makes for a fun rp! ;)

  • OoC: Oh I know it does ;) I do it with my charries all the time.

IC: Whiskertail looked at her quizzically as she scooted away, and he stopped washing his face as he tried to think of something he did wrong. Was it something he said? Was it because he had some of her fish? Well, she did say it was okay for him to take a bite. That's when he noticed her claws unsheathe and then sheathe, and she took a calming breath. Yeah, he had done something to upset her. "Did I...do or say anything to upset you?" he inquired, putting his eyes on her face, trying to get an answer.

  • Lilyblossom felt like she was going to die of embarrassment. She really had been overreacting. "No...I...no. Sorry..." She trailed off, feeling awkward in her pelt. How had this gone from a warm atmosphere to an awkward silence so quickly? It was her, wasn't it? She was falling apart. She attempted to smile warmly, though she felt like crying. Why couldn't she keep it together in front of Whiskertail?

  • The brown warrior was about to reply, but he heard his name being called, and he turned around to see Ivorypelt bounding up to them, tail high. Whiskertail looked at Lilyblossom for a moment before standing up to talk to the white warrior. "Ivorypelt, I'm gonna stay with Lilyblossom for a little while," he whispered, flicking his ears back at the she-cat. "Go back without me." She opened her mouth to protest, but he gave her a look that meant no excuses. So she turned and left, tail and head drooping. Whiskertail padded back to Lilyblossom, smiling apologetically. "Now, where were we? Oh yeah! Wanna go for a swim?" He hoped changing the subject would help her relax around him more.

  • Lilyblossom's eyes brightened. "Do I want to go for a swim? Yeah, I do!" She bounded towards the river, leaping high into the air above the water. She curled up in a ball, laughing, before she was surrounded by a huge splash. Water went everywhere, including the spot where Whiskertail was watching. Below the water, Lilyblossom watched a school of fish swim lazily by. She purred, kicking up to the surface.

  • Whiskertail laughed and shook the water from his pelt before backing up to the edge of the forest, eyes shining with mischief. He ran for the river and jumped, landing on Lilyblossom, pulling them both under the water. His eyes opened and he saw fish scatter from his moving paws. Then he looked at Lilyblossom. She's kinda pretty when she's surrounded by water like this. He shook his head and shot to the surface, shaking his head to rid his whiskers of water droplets.

  • Lilyblossom yowled in surprise as she was pushed underwater. She smiled, watching him push to the surface. Oh no you don't! She thought, purring as she grasped his tail between her paws. She swiftly yanked him back into the river, and then kicked up to get a breath. Diving back down, she offered him a playful smirk. This was getting fun. She swam over to him, using her dappled tail as sort of a rudder in the current.

  • Whiskertail had just taken a breath when he felt himself being pulled underwater again by Lilyblossom, and turned his head around to look for her and found her smirking at him playfully before swimming over. He smirked back and swam towards her, wrapping his paws around her and using his hind ones to kick them through the water going with the current, smiling.

  • OOC: WHO THE BLEEP IS LIONSTRIPE?!? Lol, got your cats mixed up!

Lilyblossom purred as Whiskertail (*ahem*) pulled her forward. She watched as a catfish nosed it's way into the pebbles, and as a carp swam by. She loved it down here, in the cooling water, in her own world. Just her and Whiskertail, and of course the burning in her lungs. She squirmed free and paddled her way to the surface, gasping in the hot summer air. A squirrel was lapping up water on the slight bank, and immediately she grasped in in her claws. Personally she preferred fish, but prey was prey and she killed it with a quick bite. Lucky kill. She waited for Whiskertail to surface.

  • OoC: DDDEEEEEERRRRRPPPPPP :o

Whiskertail watched her surface and did the same, taking in a gasp of air before going under again and grabbed her hind paws with his forepaws, but not pulling her underwater. After a little while he surfaced again and saw the dead squirrel hanging from her jaws and meowed in surprise, "Oooh! How'd you manage to catch a squirrel from the water?" He swam until he could feel his paws touch the ground next to Lilublossom and shook his head, ridding his whiskers of water.

  • OOC: Lol it's okay! Just weirded me out for a second! ;)

IC: Lilyblossom sat the squirrel down and laughed. She hauled herself out of the river, shaking her fur dry. "It was getting a drink of water from the river. I got lucky." She spat it's fur out of her mouth. "I hate squirrel. I was thinking you might want the stringy fuzzball." She rinsed her mouth out with water, being dramatic, and mewed, "Yuck."

  • Whiskertail followed suit, shaking his pelt out and making it stick up because of its length. He sniffed the squirrel and wrinkled his nose in disgust. "No thank you," he meowed, turning the dead creature over with a paw. "I can tolerate mice and voles, but birds and squirrels are nasty. Too much fur and feathers!" He turned and began to groom his pelt, when he spotted a flash of silver in the water. Quietly and slowly, he turned and sat at the riverbank, watching the fish carefully before a lightning quick paw flashed out and scooped in onto the riverbank, where he killed it quickly. "This is more like it!"

  • Lilyblossom sniffed at the fish. "Nice catch!" She mewed, purring. Her eyes lit up with enthusiastic competitiveness. "Bet I can do better!" She padded over to the riverbank, peering into the water. There it was, a beautiful rainbow trout. It was huge. "Watch and learn." She said, her paw dashing towards her prey. But it saw her at the last minute, and began to swim away. Lilyblossom stretched her paw further into the river, and accidentally lost her balance. "Holy Carp!" She screamed as she splashed headfirst into the river. She was hot with embarrassment, but couldn't help coming up laughing.

OOC: Holy Crap, Holy carp...Don't you love word play?

  • OoC: I laughed so hard at that word play XD

Whsikertail mrrowed with laughter as she came up, laughing as well. "That was a good try!" he meowed, padding up to the riverbank and looking down at her with an amused smile. Suddenly he saw the trout swim by lazily, but didn't feel like trying to get it. He'd probably end up just like her. "I think it's mocking us," he mewed, staring at the fish as it swam oh so close to the riverbank. Then he got an idea. "We can catch it! Scare it towards the riverbank, and when it comes closer, I can snatch it!" His paws were bigger anyway, so he had a bit of an advantage over Lilyblossom with catching larger things. He wasn't any quicker, though. "Ready..." His paw raised.

  • OOC: I think we should change Whiskertail's name to Lionstripe and be done with it. :P :P :P LOLOLOL

IC: "Go!" Lilyblossom gasped in a breath of air before darting into the water and towards the trout. She kicked the bottom, making a racket. The trout saw her, and with a start it swam away from her. It was headed right for the riverbank, as planned. Now! She thought as it passed right under Whiskertail's paw.
