Chromepaw sniffed the air again, placing his paw on the tracks. "Fresh, the dirt is still warm in it's tracks," he meowed.

Timestar kept his pace steady as he made sure that Oceanpaw would not fall behind.

Rippleshine nodded in approval. "Now let's see your hunters crouch" she mewed

Chromepaw crouched down, applying his weight evenly to each paw.

Oceanpaw padded alongside Timestar, "I am very thankful that I am your apprentice Timestar." She mewed.

"Good. Now stalking" Rippleshine was pleased

Timestar turned his gaze upon the young apprentice. "You do realise you are my very first apprentice?" He meowed.

Oceanpaw nodded, "And I promise I'll do my best!" She replied, grinning.

"I'm sure you'll do just fine." Timestar purred then he came to a gentle stop by the border. "Beyond these borders other clans reign, you must never cross them unless you have no other option."

Oceanpaw nodded, "Got it." She replied.

"The borders must be marked often in order to keep the other clans from taking our territory and also to warn off intruders." Timestar continued.

Oceanpaw nodded, taking the information in.

Timestar walked along and continued giving Oceanpaw all the information she required upon the politics of the clan and all the duties.

Oceanpaw smiled, "I'll make sure I become the best warrior around!" She said, eagerly.

Timestar touched his tail to Oceanpaw's shoulder. "Then follow StarClan and make sure to protect the clan."

Oceanpaw had a determined look in her eyes, "I will! I'll defend the clan with my life!" She replied.

Chomepaw stalked forward scenting the air as he located the rabbit.
