  • Okay, sure! But can I have a quick RP sample?

Also, here's a quick look at him:

  • here one of hunting:

"Now i want you to watch carefully Coyotepaw," Swiftcloud mewed. She perked her ears and parted her jaws. The familiar scent of rabbit filled her nostrils and mouth. She looked around trying to pen-point it. Right there! She thought. She crouched down and began to stalk forward, slowly at first. She then, still crouching began to go faster. Once in a good range she stood up fully. She lept in the air and landed squarely on the rabbit. She then bit down snapping its neck. She carried it back to here apprentice. "Thats how you catch a rabbit," She mewed dropping the rabbit at her paws.

    Ta-da!

  • Beautiful! You're officially Coyotepaw's mentor. Should I start a new thread, or do you want to keep RPing on this one?

  • OOC: Okay. I'll pick up where you left off.

Coyotepaw watched carefully, his head tilted slightly to the right. "But the burrow is right over there." He said, motioning to a small hole a few fox-lengths away. "That was a mother rabbit. So, if I am correct, her offspring are still with her, but quite large. We could have waited for her to go into her burrow and then I would've stuck my nose in the front entrance. You'd be waiting at the emergency exit of the burrow, waiting for the mother. Naturally, her babies would follow her out." He explained carefully. He wasn't mocking Swiftcloud. It was as if Coyotepaw was the mentor and not the apprentice.

  • Swiftcloud took this in carefully. Then thought about a reply. "But since the rabbit can since you and knows your by the burrow the rabbit would be to terrified to come out. Especially a mother one. They stay in the burrow trying to protect the babies. And those burrows are too small for a cat like you or me to fit in." She pointed out calmly. Coyotepaw reminded her of herself as an apprentice. Not that it was a bad thing. She then looked back to Coyotepaw "Why don't you give it a try?" She mewed to her apprentice.

  • OOC: I'm leaving to go camping at 2:00. I'll be driving for quite a while, and I don't know if the campsite will have internet access. I think I'm coming back on Monday.

Coyotepaw smiled, glad to have gotten a debate going. "But if I made enough noise and dug at the burrow, and if you hid well enough at the back entrance, it just might work." He looked around himself until he spotted another rabbit hole a few hills away. He crouched and motioned for his mentor with his tail, the same way he'd seen the leader do. Coyotepaw's butt was high in the air, though, but he didn't notice. He stalked somewhat silently forward, until he trod on his front paw. "Ow!" He yowled, jumping high into the air. He didn't quite land on his paws, and he tumbled down the hill in a flurry of tiny claws towards Swiftcloud.

  • Swiftcloud's eyes grew wide and round, were the white showed. She lept out of the way then thought Okay, he might not be the best hunter, mabey a better fighter? She looked at were he'd stop rolling. "Okay it stops soon! You wont crash into anything!" she called as he tumbled down in front of her. She chuckled softly to herself. Holding in a laugh at the scene of Coyotepaw tail over paws. She ran alongside him as he fell.

  • Coyotepaw finally slowed to a stop. He jumped to his feet in front of Swiftcloud, but he was too dizzy and fell down again. "Woah...the sky is spinning..." He meowed, gazing up a the clouds. After a few moments he realized what was going on and hauled his tiny body upright. "Sorry." He looked at the ground in embarrassment. "I'm really klutzy."

  • She smiled "I can she that." she joked "And one thing that went wrong was your rear was way to high in the air." she purred with amusment "That will need some tweaking." she thought to herself Hopefully you haven't scared all the prey from here to the moonpool. she paused to catch her breath "Well you cirtaintly made enough noise, lets check if any came out their burrows." she suggested. She could tell that training Coyotepaw would be fun. Sure, he'd need some improvment here and there, but still. He had lots of energy which she could mold into purfection.

  • "Okay!" Coyotepaw perked up a bit, scanning the moor for signs of prey. He spotted a huge rabbit slowly making it's way over the next hill. "I see one." He whispered. "I'm going to go for it." He dropped into a crouch, making sure his rump was lower. His tail went straight up like a tabby flag pole. "Does this look okay?"

  • Swiftcloud looked at him then imediatly mewed "Put your tail down! Its like a striped banner." she mewed. She then obseved the rest of him. "The rest looks good. If you stalk light and leapjust right it'll be easy." she mewed "Once you fix your tail, your ready to go."

  • Coyotepaw lowered his tail and crept slowly toward the rabbit. He tried to stay downwind, but the wind shifted and the rabbit looked up. "Fox dung." He cursed. Knowing the rabbit would see him soon if he didn't do something, he sprang forward. The rabbit turned as he jumped onto its back. Coyotepaw didn't outweigh it by much, though, and the rabbit shook him off. It escaped with a few tiny scratches and a bite mark. Coyotepaw escaped with a bruise where he had hit the hard earth. He bounded toward Swiftcloud, frustrated. "Hunting isn't all there is, is it? Can't we do a patrol or something?"

  • "No, why would there just be hunting?" she mewed. "But first if we do a patrol I wanna teach you some battle moves." she mewed. She then though very carefully about easy moves first. "First, im gonna show you a simple one." she paused "watch me." She ran over and nipped his hind leg then raced back around him and moved her paw in a clawing moting down his side. She hoped that wouldn't be so hard. "Can you manage that?" she asked hi

  • "I suppose so." Coyotepaw said, not quite sure of himself. He ran toward his mentor, reaching with small fangs toward her hind leg. He nipped her and turned, gently raking his claws down her fur. "Yes!" He cheered. "I think I got it!" He was beaming, glad to have finally done something right in his first training session.

  • ooc: i like the jake thing in ur siggy

ic: "Great job!" she mewed pleased that he finnaly got one thing right. maby he'll be the clans best fighter, she thought. "Now if I was to do an example of this to you, i'd squash you. But I want you to jump on my back and with your hind legs rake my back." she mewed "but ill mock fight so as we fake fight thing of the right time to leap." she in structed to make sure he was prepared he mewed "Ready?"

  • OOC: Thanks. :P

Coyotepaw crouched down with new confidence in his mew. "Ready." He began to circle Swiftcloud, calculating his timing carefully. Again he stepped on his own paw and stumbled, but quickly regained balance. Finally he pounced. But he overshot and landed a few mouse lengths behind his mentor. "Ouch!" He yelled, bouncing to his feet. Not one to let it discourage him, he jumped back up and landed squarely onto his mentor's back. He accidentally dug his sharp claws into her pelt for stability. "There! Gotcha!"
