He looks her in the eyes and shakes his head. His eyes meeting hers, as if he was talking to her through his eyes. I wish I could.. I hate not being able to talk to you.. These were the words behind his look.

Foreverlost used his claw to carve words into the ground. The words saying this:

Leaves and flowers are eaten to cure fever and sore throat. Inhaling the scent of fresh flowers can also calm the nerves.

The black tom smiles and takes a deep breath before picking a few stems and leaving the rest alone.

(That is how he will talk with her :D)

Aquatail, Reedsmoke, and Hollybush padded over to the warriors den and went to sleep. Hotfoot was watching over the Clan.

Foreverlost smiled and nods. Taking the flower he picked, he placed it in her fur, just behind her left ear. Then he claws the word beautiful in the ground.

Splashpaw pads up to Hotfoot and bumps him with her head.

Hotfoot looks at the apprentice. "Yes?"

"Who is my mentor? Better yet. When can I train?" she mews to the deputy.

Foreverlost blinks and sits. Opening his mouth he tries to speak. "Th.." was all he could get out. His ears droop and he carves out the word thanks.

OOC: can Hotfoot be Splashpaw's mentor?

Foreverlost follows after her. The stream catching his eyes.

Hotfoot meowed "I'm your mentor and we are going to train now."

"Really?" Forbiddenpaw mewed as she bounced about her mentor.

Foreverlost smiles and nods. "Be..aut..ifu..l," he mews seeming shocked at himself.

Foreverlost pins his ears back and blinks. Maybe he could learn to speak. Bounding forward, the tom wades into the water and smiles. It cooled his pelt and made him purr. He could say one word, sorta.

Foreverlost nods, "Re..la..xing," he mewed smiling at hi own voice. Being around the she-cat gave him the will to learn to speak.
