The HCG must have already gone to her head, Angela thought as she threw her white coat on. She walked up to Sophie's room. "I love you honey, but I have to get to work," she said to the door.

Angela knew she would have patients, but she decided she wasn't going to leave until her daughter spoke with her. Picking up her cell phone, she called her PA, "I'll be a bit late to my first patient, will you see what's going on, check her bp and see what else she needs" Angela said into the phone. She knocked on Sophie's door. "Honey, I've made the decision that you are coming with me today if you won't go to school," Angela said. She tried to be a cool mom, but first and foremost she was the mother and insisted she get respect.

"I'm not leaving until you are in the car, young lady. I will NOT tolerate screaming from you," Angela said maternally. As much as Angela loved her daughter, she would not tolerate rudeness in any manner. She was the mother, and she would have respect if her daughter was pregnant or not. Angela really didn't care if her daughter's HCG levels were through the roof. She wasn't going to tolerate what was going on.
