  • Scabs covered the tom's normally handsome body and he cursed slightly, angrily. Right now, he looked extremely weak, he was extremely weak. That was the problem. StormClan could be anywhere and he often padded with eyes flicking backwards and forwards trying to make sure he wasn't being followed. Letting out a deep, exhausting sigh, he sat down and began to lick his wounds. Slowly, and rhythmically, removing the clotted blood from his pelt.

  • A soft patter of paws met Avatarincarnation's arrival. A lone mouse, scrawny and underfed, hung in her white splashed jaws. The cream toned coat of her leader stood out on the otherwise green, grey, and brown land that they lived in now. Not that she regretted it. Quite the opposite — sorta. As long as she was with that cream furred tom, well, she was in her own little fantasy.

"Greatings, Sabrestar," she said, hoping to keep her voice steady at the sight of the wounded leader. To her, no matter how scarred up he was, he was still the handsomest cat around. Not that you would ever find her admitting that to anyone. Gland oohing at him cleaning his own fur, Avatar suddenly became aware that her own blue marbled tabby pelt was still coated in blood from the fight they had endured to claim this land.

  • Not actually being able to do anything, other than making the blood wet again, he sighed in vain and looked over at Avatarincarnation, "Hey Avatar." It was a rather informal greeting from a leader to a warrior but he honestly couldn't care less. They had just shared probably one of the best battles. Seeing as it had ended in their victory. "What's going on?" Nothing obviously. Sabrestar needed to get everything rolling.

  • Glancing pitifully at the rodent that lay unmoving at her white speckled paws. "Hunting," she murmured quietly, rolling the prey over with her paw. "The land here is weaker then I suspected. Not even simple vermin can live for long here, but I did see some large birds." Glancing up for a moment, embarresed that she was rambling, Avatarincarnation finished simply with, "either that or I just can't hunt."

  • With a simple shrug of his shoulders, Sabrestar looked up, "Large birds, interesting." Maybe he could have some fun, talk to them. Not that he really wanted to. Right now he wouldn't mind having a few other-cats or non-cats within the tribe. Not that there was anything wrong with small-cats, but having the extra oomph of power from wild-cats made a tribe that much stronger. "I'm sure you're not a bad hunter," Sabrestar looked over and smiled at Avatarincarnation.

  • She smiled back, laughing airily and said, "maybe, but I'm certainly not the best." You could find Avatarincarnation speaking of herself like this often, especially when others pointed out things that she disliked about herself — such as her shortened tail. Looking back up at Sabrestar, she felt a larger smile twitch on the corners of her maw. "Well, we have to feed the clan first' I guess I better hunt some more… later." She added quickly.

  • "Don't bother, they can hunt for themselves, we don't have any kits to feed." In his head he added, 'Yet anyway.' Sabrestar used his tail to indicate for her to sit beside him. "One day, we will have control over SunClan again, as long as there is still air in my lungs, I will lead." Not really sure she was paying attention, he pretty much said it to himself.

  • Smiling softly as she settled beside him, Avatarincarnation hung on to every word that came out of his maw. "And as long as you have loyal followers, you can get anything you want. It isn't the number of follows that determining one's succes, it is their dedication."

  • At these words, Sabrestar smiled and looked over her, "You're quite intelligent Avatar." Though there was no surprise there, he could easily tell she was intelligent just by the way she spoke and the way she held herself. Resting his tail on her shoulder, he continued, "Once we're back in control, everyone here will be considered a royal. Of course."

  • Intelligent? That was something new to be called, at least for Avatarincarnation. She usually just went on, speaking whatever came randomly out of her maw. Looking up at Sabrestar as he placed his cream tail on her blue marble shoulder, she meowed, "royal? What does that mean?" Never exposed to the concept of royals, the warrior didn't know much about the whole thing.
