Crystal Serin, an eighteen year old girl, drove up in a rusty looking red pick-up truck, horse trailer trailing behind it. She drove up the dirt road to the horse shelter and pulled into the lot where the other cars were. She turned off the ignition and then opened the door, leaving her guitar on the seat next to her. She closed the door shut and a whinny was heard from the horse trailer. She took the keys she used for the car's ignition and choose a different key. She went to the trailer and unlocked the padlock the slid the bar up to open it up. She pulled the double doors open and a happy nicker was heard from the horse inside. She went inside and untied the rocky mountain mare, named Hershy, and gently backed her out. She took out a salt lick and held it out to the mare. "That's a good girl," she murmured, petting the horse with the other hand while holding the lead rope.

  • A rusted, battered old ford drove up to the farm, pulling an even rustier horse trail. Firebird, a three year old Arabian filly lashed out at the trailer walls with coal black hooves. Her once glossy brown coat with golden streaks was caked with dry mud. Her thick black mane was matted with leaves and twigs. Dried blood marked the spots where whips and spurs had been applied to harshly and sores stood out on her black socks where soiled hobbles had chafed her. A faint grey smudge hinted at the white star on her forehead. The first two years of her life had been so wonderful, how could things have gone so bad?

A man dressed all in black, with a hood pulled over his head, shades, and a bandana obscuring his faces jumped out of the truck. He quickly unhitched the horse trailer and drove off, tires squealing.

  • Diana smiled watching Jacob and Amazing Grace for another moment before turning her attention back to Stargazer.

    OoC: Gotta go. :P
