  • Jacob smiled as Diana asked him these questions. "I'm ok, just really tired," he said with a grin. He ran his hand through his short jet black hair. Jacob's expression changed to puzzlement. "A lot is going on Diana, how have you been? Any new horses since the last time I've been out?" he asked her, trying to get off the subject of himself.

  • Diana watched him with a skeptical gaze before dropping the subject, not wanting to push it. "Not htat I know of, but I've only been here for about an hour, and all that time I've spent with Stargazer." she smiled, tightening her ponytail as she glanced out over the pasture. She caught a glimpse of the black and white filly trotting through the grass again. She returned her gaze to Jacob. "Want any company? she asked softly with a smirk.

  • Emma yawned, walking down the road in a white blouse, a straw sun-hat with a pink ribbon, and pants that were tight at the waist and ankle, but were to large around her legs.

  • Dylan rocked back and forth on his heels, eyes on the ground. His face was warm and his lips growing dry. He gritted his teeth and watched the horses.

Silent Nightmare reared up, the feeling of the wind exciting her. She cantered and bucked, sorting with joy. Her one blue and one brown eyes twitched as she felt the wind slam into her.

    ((Short posts...sorry))

  • Jacob was a social person. He looked at Diana (why did I almost write Fiona) with his aqua blue eyes in a sweet manner. "Do I want company? What have I done to be in the company of such a generous person? Of course I would love some company," he said as his eyes glistened. He loved being able to be around horses, but enjoyed the company of humans as well. "How's that new blue roan tobiano walker? What was her name again?" he asked.

  • Diana smiled, walking with him. "Amazing Grace? I believe she'sstill in her stall, but I'm not sure. Like I said, I've been with Stargazer all morning." She glanced out over the pasture as stargazer trotted over to the fence, whinnying softly and tossing her head as she watched Diana. Diana smiled, but returned her gaze to Jacob. "I'll help turn Grace out with you, and then we can work with a few of the other horses if you'd like?

  • "My family is considering adopting Grace," Jacob said with a wide toothy smile. He very much enjoyed Diana's company. "How's Stargazer been?" Jacob asked Diana. He retrieved his new cowboy hat from the car that matched his turquoise cowboy boots. His well-worn jeans went nicely with his light blue and paisley shirt. Jacob started gazing at Stargazer and the filly at her side. "She is so pretty," he thought to himself.

  • Diana smiled. "She's been good,"She chuckled softly as the filly tossed her head, trotting to the gate. "Apparently she wants to see you. hang on, I'll go get her." She quickly walked over to teh pasture fence again and unlatched the gate, grabbing Stargazer's halter and the rope laying on the fence. She closed the gate behind her before leading her back to Jacob. "I think she's gained a little weight," She said with a smile, patting the large mare's belly softly. She looked back to Jacob with a smile. "And that's really cool, about your family and Grace. You two hit it off from the start, didn't you?" She asked, combing her fingers through Stargazer's silky black mane.

  • owo. My character's already named Emma...

IC: She sighed, then saw her house in the distance, and a red car parked in the driveway. This seemed to giver her wings.... Her dad was home! He had left before she was born, by just a day... This would be the first time they saw eachother.... but her mother had described the car in such detail, down the the cracks in the back window, and the dent in the back left corner. This was her fathers car.... It had to be! After thirteen years or waiting....

  • "Thanks Diana," Jacob said as he went up to Stargazer and stroked her neck beginning at her crown softly. As he stroked her, he was thinking of what it would be like to ride Grace. He knew at the time it was too soon to ride her because she was too thin. "I love Grace already," Jacob said with a smile. He realized Diana was a true friend.

  • OoC: So sorry! I changed it to Diana. Sorry, I got mixed up with another thread! :-[

IC: Diana smirked, looking from Stargazer to Jacob. She could tell he had a connection with the horses. Owning Amazing Grace would probably be a really good thing for him. She smiled, looking away as she slid her hand down Star's large shoulder. Stargazer being a Shire didn't make it any harder to ride, but Diana didn't trust her to anyone but herself when it came to someone sitting in the saddle. She was having second thoughts about that now, watching the way Jacob stroked her neck.
She smirked. "So, c'mon," She said with as smirk, "Let's go see Amazing Grace."

  • OOC: It's okay, just saying XD

IC: She flew down the driveway, kicked off her shoes, and ran into the living room where a tall pale skinned and haired man was sitting on the couch, talking with her mother. "This must be Emma. Sorry to make you wait so long!" The man said, smiling. She laughed and tackle hugged him.

  • Jacob kissed Stargazer with a passion only a true horseman could have. He stroked her again before turning back to Diana. "I'm sorry, I get lost around the horses. It's almost like I have a connection with them, and don't notice humans," Jacob explained. Trying to focus on the task at hand, he knew Stargazer would probably need to be turned out before they went to see Grace. "Do you want me to turn her out for you?" Jacob asked Diana, referring to Stargazer.

Amazing Grace stood in her stall and munched on a bite of a coastal/Timothy mixed hay. The alfalfa had already long been eaten. She was glad to be in a place that fed her such sweet, succulent food. Grace kept remembering her old place. She had started off being loved and cared for, but slowly was neglected and abused. She noticed that there was a human in this new home who always fed her, and cleaned out her spacious stall. "Is it going to be the same?" she thought, feeling a kick in her belly from the unborn foal.

  • Diana smiled, watching as Jacob looked up to her, as if re-entering the world around him after stroking the horse. "No, that's alright," She explained, leading her towards the stables slowly, waiting for Jacob. "I'll put her back out after we see Grace." She smiled, nodding to the large, open doors of the barn. "C'mon."

  • "I have a lot to catch up to, don't I!" Her father said. She laughed. "Guess where I was!" She said. "Uuuhhmm... With Horses?" he asked.
"How did you know!?" She asked.
"I passed the horse place and saw you riding around on a black horse. Is it yours?" HE said.
"Yes, his name is Japan!" Emma said.

  • Jacob strode toward Diana, and gave her a big smile. "I'm coming," he said as he glanced back toward the pasture with all the beautiful horses in it. He remembered how when he was much younger, he had wished he was a horse. He had imagined being a black stallion, like the stallion in Walter Farley's books. "So what's going on in your life?" he asked Diana.

  • Diana smirked, looking back to him, "Hm. Not much, really." She said, cocking her head to the side as she thought, turning her gaze towards the barn. "My older brother left for college last weekend," She said slowly"Other then that, nothing much else." She looked back over at him, her eyes narrow and skeptical, wondering what was really going on with him.

  • Jacob smiled at Diana. He had liked her brother, and would miss him greatly. "Where's he going again? Jacob asked. Jacob was glad he was able to keep the conversation off him. He continued walking toward Amazing Grace's stall, walking next to Diana. Soon, they were within sight if her. "Hey sweet Grace, how are you?" he half-nickered to her. Though he didn't understand the language of the horse, he felt that it was extremely important to talk to him.

  • OOC: Where are they? I don't know what college her brother should go to...
    IC:
Diana shrugged, "I can never remember the name of the university he's attending. I could tell you later, if you want. He sent me an e-mail after he got into his dorm, and it has the name of the college in it."
She smiled as they came to Amazing Grace's stall. The tall roan mare was still looking skinny, even though she was pregnant, but she was getting better, and Diana could tell.
Stargazer's hooves stopped clopping on the hard floors of the stable, and she gently pushed her muzzle into the small of Diana's back, nudging her forward-- towards Jacob. Diana chuckled, stopping herself before she bumped into him. Glancing back over her shoulder to Star, she gently pressed her middle finger into the space between her neck and shoulder, forcing her back.

  • OOC: it doesn't matter. Oh and I have to squint to see the quote color. Would you mind changing it for the next one?

IC: The blue roan tobiano mare nickered when he saw the human she had come to think of as hers. He always talked to her gently, and hadn't done anything to make her think she couldn't trust him. Her coat, though still dull because of her condition, was a bit glossier than it had been. With her human, she saw another, a female who she thought could be his mate, and a black mare. "Hi," she whinnied to the mare

Jacob smiled as Stargazer nudged Diana closer to him. Though he was eighteen, probably around the same age as her older brother, Jacob realized he felt a close friendship forming between them. He chuckled and said "Was that you trying to get closer, or was it Stargazer?" he asked smirking a bit. Jacob wasn't sure he really wanted to hear the response, but he had asked anyway.
