"He isn't that evil." Cole said with a frown.

"I'm sorry, mom...." Amelia texted.
Amy looked away, "He gave that scar to Shayne when he was a baby."

Emily looked at the text and sighed. "It's okay, I won't tell Tanner."
Cole looked at her. "It was actually my mom, not my dad." I say to her.

Amy shuttered, "Why would people do something like that."

"Revenge." Cole said simply.

Amy looked over at him, "Would you do something like that to a baby, if it was for revenge?" She whispered.

"Never." He said with a frown and a shake of the head.

Amy sighed, "Exactly." She whispered.

"They had been fighting for a long time though." Cole said.

"I'll bet." Amy said quietly.

Cole nodded slightly and parked the car.

Cole walked around to meet her and pulled her close to him.
