Flinchflight fidgeted in her nest, she just couldn't fall asleep. The deputy quietly made her way out of the Warriors Den, hoping no one would see her. The deputy padded through the complicated maze of tunnels until she was out of camp. Just some fresh air would be fine; Flinchflight sat down in the grass and gazed up into the sky.

Spiritstar turned in his nest, the whole thing about the previous day still lingered. Nermal, Ochrel, and that other one... Bulivard was it? Hh looked up at the top of his den, and sighed. Then his ears flickered back at the sound of a restless cat. The grey tom flipped in his nest and then made it out of the den. His eyes flicked to the shadow of a cat, then moved over to it. Distiguishing the scent, he smiled in the low light of the moon. "Can't sleep, Flinchflight?" He asked.
-
Flinchflight turned towards the sound of the leaders voice. So lost in thought, she hadn't heard the tom coming from behind her. "'Fraid not," she replied smoothly and looked at him, "You can't either?" she asked, shuffling her paws.
-
The leader gave a exasperated laugh, "Not much, after that meeting, soo much drama." He mewed with a dramatic crunge of his eyebrows.
-
Flinchflight let out a small laugh, "I guess it wouldn't have been so dramatic if Nermal didn't show up," she said and thought about the violent tom. Thinking of him sent a shiver down her spine.
-
Spiritstar's eyes followed the shiver, and nodded. "But I do feel as though we had treated him unfairy, he left early. Though I did apologize..." He mewed, then looked as if in deep thought. "I commanded him to wait till I could talk to him, when I came up to him, he looked almost in fear.."
-
"I think I would have been like that as well if I were in his paws.." Flinchflight mumbled and looked up a bit curious, "Did he really wait?" the deputy asked and blinked. She didn't think he would, not after the poor treatment he recieved from them.
-
The grey tom nodded. "Surprisingly, yes. Yes he did." Spiritstar mewed in a bit of surprise. The leader hadn't even exspected that the Death Maker of Tribe of Falling Swallows would have. The tom's tail flickered to the side and back as he spoke. Fluffing up light dirt from the ground as he did so. His eyes glimmered in the low light at if they were sliver.
-
Flinchflight seemed taken aback for a moment, then returned to normal, "You were alone? With a cat that kills other cats for a living?" she asked, a flash of worry appearing on her face. Her eyes trailed at the leaders tail as she twitched her whiskers.
-
Spiritstar couldn't help but chuckle. "Yep, and he was the terrified one. I was so calm, I still can't believe that I handled the conversation so well." He mewed with a smile.
-
"Well thats a surprise," Flinchflight said and wondered what had gone on between them. Wanting to change the awkward subject, the she-cat rolled onto her back and looked at the stars, "I used to do this alot with my mother," she said and looked at Spiritstar.
-
Spiritstar looked up at the stars and then to Flinchflight. Setting down on his back next to the deputy. "That's nice." He mewed looking up at all the small stars.
-
[align=center][font=georgia]Flinchflight smiled, she liked this tom quite a bit. "I think twolegs go outside to look at stars and make shapes of something.. They called them constellations." she spoke and tried to image the star-shaped figures, but they just wouldn't come through.
-
"Constellation?" Spiritstar tried making sense of the odd word. His eyes searched the sky, thinking only that the images were only of cats. But none really looked remotly close. "I never really understood those two-legs, main reason why I left. "
-
Flinchflight was a bit taken aback, Spiritstar used to be a kittypet? How could she have not known? "They also used these large tube looking things too." Flinchflight said, now this, she wasnt sure about.
-
Spiritstar's eyes looked at her with a confused gaze. "Tube?" Then the tom laughed, turning to look at her fully. "Say, how do you know stuff about kittypet life?"
-
Flinchflight nodded, "They look through them to see stars more clearly," she finished until he asked anither question. The she-cat looked at him nervously, she didn't want to admit anything. But, knowing nothing would really work, she responded, "I was held captive for a while in a two-leg den, I can't say I missed it but I learned a bit there."
-
Spiritstar's only response was filled with sincerity. "I'm so sorry." He mewed with soft eyes. It was painful enough for him just living there, but being held captive?! Horrible.
-
Flinchflight shook her head, "It wasn't so bad," she said and thought about some other cats she met there, "Some kittypets that lived near by used to keep me company." the she-cat recalled her old friends, the ones who got her out of that dump.
-
The blue/grey leader nodded.
