Emily walks in her stall and places the apple in her food bowl. "Come on, want the rest?"

"Good girl," she said, closing the stall door. "Oh yeah, the other horses!" she said, running out.

She brought the other horses to their stalls. "New stall doors, guys. Now you won't be able to kick them down." she said happily.

Batman looked around and noticed Flash.

"Don't worry, you'll like it here." said Batman.

Emily walked over to the pasture to see Mari and and foal.

"No, their nice." he reassured.

Emily came back and picked up the phone when it began to ring. "Hello?" she asked. "Mare?" she asked. "Expecting foal?" she asked. "Yes, yes. Today? Ok, ten minutes." she said and hung up. "We've got another one!" she said to them happily.

"I know, my old owners were awful also." he said with a angry snort. "I've been here a while." he said. "And they've never yelled at me, or whipped me, or starved me. Not once."

Emily meet the guy outside.
"$10,000." he said rudely.
"I told you, I don't pay. This is a rescue center." she said stirnly.
"That's ridiculous! I guess I'll just take her to the slaughter house." he said, turning around.
"Wait!" she said.
"What?" he asked, turning around.
"$5,000." she said with a sigh.
He smiled and shook her hand.

She lead the mare into her stall and called the vet.

The mare looks around nervously and hung her head low.

The vet came and walked over to her. "What's her name?" he asked, opening her stall door. "Willow." replied Emily. "Well, she looks underweight, but other than that, she looks fine." he said. She snorted in fear and backed away from the vet.

"Don't worry girl, no exam for you today." said the vet to Flash. "That foal should be born in a few days." he said.

Emily shook his hand and then he left.

"Want to go out to the pasture?" Emily asked Flash.

"Good," said Emily, opening her stall door. She clips a lead rope to her bridle and takes a step. "Come on girl," she said.

She opened Willows stall door and clips a lead rope to her bridle. "Lets go girls!" she said cheerfully.

Willow hesitantly takes a step.

Emily took them to the pasture and shut the gate. "Have fun you two. Or three." she said with a chuckle. She walked away.

Willow looked around hesitantly. "W-who's he?" she asked, noticing Batman across the feild.

She winced slightly at her attitude but shook it off. Batman looked up at her and slowly walked over. She took a step back, a little nervous. "H-hi.." she said quietly. "Hello," he said calmly. "My name is Batman. Yours?" he asked. "Willow." she said, a little more calm now.
