    Ally let the echo of a laugh slide past her lips as he desribed the lake, allowing another small smile to brim on her expression. "I think I have to agree with that. The lake is very 'lakey'," the girl murmured, pausing to admire it from a distance, trying to think if a word that could describe it better.

Ally scrunched up her nose, gazing out over the lake with guilt. She knew she shouldn't have left Adam's side, and she knew she shouldn't have left Jared to figure out where he was on his own, but she also knew it was probably in everyone's best interest that she had left.

    Ally savored the taste of his lips for a moment, not stepping back yet, enjoying the way he managed to take her mind from the heavy thoughts. "No, I think that was yours. I should probably give it back," she smiled smuggly, leaning to kiss him lightly.

    Ally cracked the door the Nick's cabin open, slipping inside almost silently. She trailed over to his bunk and slid under the covers, pulling them up to her shoulders and trying to sleep just as she promised.


    Jared was still standing awkwardly to the side of Adam's cot, was almost glad to see Nick, after all, he was the only person who seemed to realize how confused he was. He opened his mouth to point out the obvious to the boy but Diana stole the words from his mouth.
    "No he's not okay. It's Ally's d*mned fault too. The bleeding stopped but his breathing isn't steadying like it should have already," Diana was frantically messing with more nectar and ambrosia. She had called one of her brothers over to help and he was doing his best to hold Adam's mouth open. "We don't hardly know what to do, he should be recovering. The wound has been bandaged and fixed but its almost as if they were still as bad as they were before."

"Do you think he'll be okay? Maybe contact Apollo and ask for help? Ally's going to beat herself up so much over this." The stress in his voice was imminent, concern lining every word. Concern for Ally, for Adam, Violet and even for Jared. Everybody seemed to have a problem, and they were all throwing out their issues at once. It was overwhelming, like a wave.

    Diana, grimaced slightly under Nicks' cold glare, but continued anyways,"Nick, I want to know why you think Apollo is going to take time to come save some son of Hermes. As much as I wish that could happen, gods can't even get through the borders, and you'd have to do some pretty good job at convincing him," she pointed out, her voice drenched with a bitter sorrow and disappointment. "At the moment his chances don't look peachy. And if Ally wants to beat herself up over it, then so be it, she shouldn't have done anything to try and help," the daughter of Apollo didn't intend to be so rude to her sister, but put of sheer frustration over her near pointless struggle to help Adam, she had to lash out some way.
    Jared had now taken a seat in a nearby chair, feeling the friction rise in the room. He didn't feel like he should leave, he felt as if he needed to stay-not that he could do anything-but he also wanted to leave. The sight of the boy wounded so badly to protect him was unsettling.
