Twokit hopped out of the bushes and bounced up to the small kit. " Hi! Im Twokit! Whats your name? " She sniffed the young kit and began licking his fur the wrong way to warm him. " Your cold! " She shivered.

"im shadow and yes i am cold ive been out here for a long time" he sneezed

A calico warrior was padding through the forest when she saw the kits. "Great StarClan!" She picked up the little kit and told the other kit to follow as she padded back to camp.

he coughed and groaned

the young kit was shivering with cold

" Will he be ok? " Twokit mewled, batting at the she-cats tail.

Fawnstep stopped walking and dropped the kit, licking his fur the wrong way to warm him up. "Do you have a mother, little one?"

(greencough) the kit went into a fit of coughing and sneezing

"no i dont know who she is she died i live alone"

"i feel horrible" he groaned and coughed hard

the kits muzzle burned and ached from the cold

"We need to get him back to camp." She picked up Shadow with Twokit following and made her way back to camp. She dropped him in the medicine den when they reached camp and curled up in the nest next to him. The medicine cat looked him over and gave him some catmint for his cough. He also gave him yarrow for the fever.

Fawnstep turned to Twokit. "Where's your mother?" -
he groaned again and coughed "i think my mothers dead she was attacked by dogs"

"Do you need a mother?" Fawnstep purred soothingly.
