Cedarstar continued to search for the two kits. He felt smoke clog his lungs. His vision blurred, and he collapsed.

IC: Hailpaw frantically looked for Cedarstar. She darted into the flames and dragged his body out. "Is he dead?" she asked, worried. He had more lives, didn't he?
Prancekit turned. "What?"
Cedarstar woke in StarClan. The old leader stood before him. "You're losing a life for no reason," the cat commented. He vanished.

Cedarstar felt numb for a moment, then staggered to his paws. He watched his clan. "Let's go!" he growled.

Prancekit blinked. "Cedarstar died trying to fine us. Come on, or he'll do it again!" She raced near camp to find the cats retreating to the river.

Relief flooded Cedarstar. "Thank StarClan!" He rushed to them and nuzzled them.

Prancekit rolled her eyes.
