Pain. That's all he was aware of at this moment. He lay on a rock in the sun. Blood still caked on his multicolored pelt. His front right leg had a massive gash that still hadn't stopped bleeding. He knew the leg would be lame for the rest of his life. His blue eyes showed none of his pain. He started to try and remove some of the blood caked to his pelt. He was going to need water to get it all off. Water that he couldn't get to on his own. He hadn't killed the badger that attacked him. He knew it would find him if he traveled.

She had just been minding her own business when the overpowering scent of blood hit her nose. She cringed and turned around, aiming to just walk away, she had gotten herself into enough trouble to last her a life time. But something stopped her. She began to fight with herself in her mind and eventually turned around.
She followed the trail and scent of blood until she came upon a tom laying out on a rock. It was obvious he was in deep pain. The off white she-cat came closer, worry and sorrow showing in her springy green eyes as she mewed, "Hey you okay?"
-
Xeta stoped cleaning himself and looked at the she-cat. "badger" was all he could muster before he moaned in pain. he felt bad that the she-cat had to see him like this. He must have looked like he was dying. He sure felt like he was.He looked at her, momentarily exposing the pain he was in through his eyes, before his eyes grew emotionless again.
-
She slightly flinched at how much in pain he sounded. She came closer, close enough to really see how bad he was and took in a gulp of breath. Blood was caked and dried into his fur but the worse of all was a huge, deep gash that was on one of his legs. It was still dripping blood and this alarmed her.
"Whoa, alright. I can help you, if you let me." She said quickly, her springy green eyes showing determination. Without an answer, she rushed off to find what she needed.
-
Xeta watched the she-cat leave. He groaned. What if she didn't come back for him? Would he die here? All he could think were bad thoughts. He wondered what she went to do.
-
A few moments later, the off white she-cat returned with a bundle of herbs and a huge clump of moss. She began chewing up one of the herbs as she came near and set everything down. "This might sting a little." She said through the herbs as she gently starting squeezing the water out of the moss and onto his big gash.
OOC- By the way, I'm purposely writing 'She' because I haven't reveled her name yet.
-
He hissed in pain. But said nothing. He watched the she cat work on his leg "How do you know how to do this?" He asked,Pain obvious in his voice. "And what is your name?" He said through clenched teeth.
-
"Sorry!" She cried out when he hissed. "I learned from my friend, who was a Med. cat. I haven't seen her in months now though..." She trailed off, frowning and quietly hissing. "Oh, I'm Wing. I used to be Springwing before I left my Clan." The off white she-cat said, almost a bit too proudly. "Who are you?" She asked, as she spit out the herbs and as gently as she could, started spreading them on his gash.
-
"Xeta.."he said as he winced. "Xeta is my name.." He added. "I'v never been a clan cat." He said noting how proud she seemed. He wasn't one for being in a clan of any kind. As he thought about it he realized it probably would have been better if he was clan born. Then he might not be lying on this rock gushing blood. A deep sigh came out of him before he winced again. "dont be sorry.. At least you're helping. I'd expect any other cat to kill me where i lay." He said in a monotone way.
-
Once she had the herbs on nice and thick, she starting wrapping his leg in cobwebs before standing back and beaming at her work. "Nice to meet you Xeta!" Wing said with a friendly smile, her springy green eyes glowing. That's when she noticed how much blood was still caked in his fur. "Want me to clean off your fur? Or do you got it?"
-
He sighed deeply "I might be able to get it.. Thank you so much." He said as he started on his blood matted pelt. He wished there was a stream or lake near by. "Is there by chance a lake anywhere close that i could wobble too?" He asked the she-cat.
-
She nodded a few times. "Yep, I can show you to it." Wing said with a helpful smile, flicking her slender tail.
-
He nodded. With great effort he managed to pick himself up onto three paws. He carefully held his hurt leg off the ground, which he would have to do for the rest of his life. He was pretty wobbly, but said nothing about it. "Lead the way" he said to the she cat as he smirked at her.
-
She nodded and started walking towards the direction of the river. Wing walked a bit close to Xeta in case he needed to lean against her. "So Xeta, how did you encounter a badger?" She asked randomly.
-
He hobble on with her. "I have a tendency to not pay attention while hunting and well i wandered too close.." he said signing. He slightly leaned against the she cat to keep himself balanced.
-
She didn't seem bothered when he leaned against her. "You sound like me!" Wing said with a small laugh and a smile. "I don't pay attention a lot." She paused. "And I get distracted a lot, too."
-
He let out a small chuckle. He liked the company of this she cat. "Yeah i should really learn to pay more attention,if i want to keep the rest of my limbs that is" he said half jokingly. He knew his leg was lame,Useless, But he had to learn to live with it.
-
Another smile lit up her maw and she laughed. Wing suddenly stopped as they came upon a small river, with some fish swimming about lazily in it. "Here we are." She mewed with a smile as she eyed the fish and realized how hungry she was. "Want a fish? 'Cuz I do!"
-
He smiled "I'd love one..but..I'm not so sure i can get my own.."he said in a sad tone. he decided to allow her to fish before he went to clean himself,in fear of scaring the fish off with all of his blood. "fish first..then ill clean off. i don't want to scare them." He said as he flopped down and nodded at her.
-
Wing smiled and settled down beside the river. She looked into the chilling water and saw the fish swimming lazily around. Easily in a few moments, she had two fish laying by her paws. She grabbed one and laid it in front of him. "Here you go. I can teach you how to fish without your other paw." She said as she settled down to eat.
