  • Shirana grinned happily as she walked slowly along the dirt path. Pythia walked next to her. The two girls were demigods, daughters of Athena and Artemis. They both had animal traveling companions. Shirana had a black wolf at her side, while atop Pythia's shoulder perched a great horned owl. They had both come from Camp Jupiter, and were on their way to Camp Half-Blood.

"Imagine," grinned Shirana as they walked, "Artemis falling in love with our dad! They said she wouldn't have kids, well what do you call me then? I don't think she expected have me, but here I am. I'm grateful and all, I love shooting bow and arrows, but people always stare at me in awe, as if I'm a goddess myself! I'd hate to be a goddess, having power over almost everything, it's weird. I'm fine with being a Huntress in the Hunt of Artemis, did I mention I was gonna start?"
Pythia rolled her eyes. "No, I had no idea whatsoever," she said sarcastically. She was also joining the Hunt, partly because Shirana had pushed her into it.

  • Lucy, a daughter of Hermes, chased a boy with a crab in her hand. "Come on, Nicky! He's cute!" She yelled, chasing the boy out of the camp.

"No it's not! It's gonna kill me! And don't call me Nicky!" Nick, a son of Zues, yelled, running away from his friend. How could she be so mean? She knew he was terrified of crabs.

"Watch-" Lucy yelled, just as Nick ran into Shirana. "Out..." She finished, stopping at where they were both on the ground.

"I'm so sorry!" Nick said, getting up quickly.

  • Shirana grinned. "No problem at all, we barely ever get any excitement here because someone doesn't like to have fun!" she said, elbowing Pythia.

  • Lucy leaned against Nick's side in a friendly way. "I feel your pain." She said.

Nick lightly pushed Lucy away. "Don't come near me with that crab." He warned.

"Fine." Lucy said. The crab wasn't even in her hands. It was on Nick's shoulder. She tried not to smile. She was just trying to help him overcome his fear of crabs. No harm done, right.
