What do you want to begin with first?
    I suggest the follow:
    .Plots
    .Word Choice
    .Humor in Writing
    .Romance
    .Feelings in Character

We don't have to learn all of those, but going over them is suggested.

  • I'm interested in all of it, but I think we should begin with feelings in character, if that's alright.

  • Alright, lot's say that there are six difference 'main' human emotions.
    These would be:
    1) Fear
    2) Joy
    3) Love
    4) Sadness
    5) Surprise
    6) Anger

Now, these emotions can also be described or felt in different ways. Let us begin with the first one, fear. Fear can be introduced in your writing in many ways. For example, a character can be extremely afraid of everything, or then can be afraid of practically nothing. Mostly, character are located in the middle. Though, it is sometimes fun to play a character who 'appears' to be afraid of nothing or a character who 'appears' to be afraid of everything.

See, fear is an inner thing. Yet, it can still be obvious when someone is afraid.
Some examples of displaying fear in a secluded way could be like this:

    [fancypost bgcolor=#000000 bordercolor=#000000 borderwidth=3px; border: 3px dotted #a6a6a6; border-radius: 20px; border-radius: 20px]

[color=white][font=georgia]Rhodo kept her dainty pale chin held high in the air and her hands placed firmly on her hips. She took a small glance at the moving bush behind her but whipped her head about as to face the opposite direction. After all, she was a girl of bravery, a rustling bush didn't scare her, not a noticeable amount at least.

    [/fancypost]

Now, you could also show fear in an extremely visible manner:

    [fancypost bgcolor=#000000 bordercolor=#000000 borderwidth=3px; border: 3px dotted #a6a6a6; border-radius: 20px; border-radius: 20px]

[color=white][font=georgia]Rhodo eyed the bush, fear stretched across her face. She brushed her long curly red hair out of her face and jumped back as the bush shook again. "S..show yourself." She said, trembling in front of the unrevealed presence.

    [/fancypost]

Mostly, characters may be like this in such a situation:

    [fancypost bgcolor=#000000 bordercolor=#000000 borderwidth=3px; border: 3px dotted #a6a6a6; border-radius: 20px; border-radius: 20px]

[color=white][font=georgia]The red head turned her head alertly as the bush nearby trembled. She forced a small laugh but backed away slightly, she locked her hand in her boyfriends and turned to look into his eyes. "What do you suppose is making that noise?" Rhodo asked, her body was still and cautious, waiting for the unknown to show itself to her.

Alright, now see if you can right about fear in these three ways with your own character and a new situation.

  • Okay!

    hidden way:

    [fancypost bgcolor=#000000 bordercolor=#FFFFFF borderwidth=2px; border: 2px dotted #FFFFFF;border-radius: 20px; border-radius: 20px]
Sophia stood, one hand on her hip and the other dangling down. She laughed, trying to hide the nervousness in it. Sure, this wild, crazy dog was snarling at her and she had no idea who owned it, but it's not like it would attack her or anything. Besides, how much harm could a dog do?[/fancypost]

    shown way:

    [fancypost bgcolor=#000000 bordercolor=#FFFFFF borderwidth=2px; border: 2px dotted #FFFFFF;border-radius: 20px; border-radius: 20px]
Sophia placed her hands on her chest, breathing heavily. There was a wild dog, snarling at her, for no reason. She started to slowly walk backwards, but it slowly came toward her. She started walking faster, but it kept coming. She turned her back on the dog and started running, screaming as she did so.[/fancypost]

    normal way:

    [fancypost bgcolor=#000000 bordercolor=#FFFFFF borderwidth=2px; border: 2px dotted #FFFFFF;border-radius: 20px; border-radius: 20px]
Sophia looked at the dog. She was scared of it, but she knew running would make it follow her. She glanced over to her friend, Carly, and mouthed, "Uh.. a little help here?" Sophia crouched down, quickly picking up a large rock, and throwing it at the dog.[/fancypost]

  • Wonderful! Now, let us move on to the two sub-categories of 'fear'. The first category is 'nervousness' which has tertiary categories of its own. These tertiary categories are:
    anxiety
    apprehension
    distress
    dread
    tenseness
    uneasiness
    worry

Now, choose one of them and write another short paragraph about it.

    My example:
[fancypost bgcolor=white; border-top: 2px dashed black; border-left: 2px dashed black; border-bottom: 2px dashed black; border-right: 2px dashed black; border-radius: 50px; font-family: georgia; color: #0073ff; text-align: center]The messy red head paced back and fourth outside of the principal's office. She looked like she was going to hurl, her face was pale and she was drenched in sweat. When the door opened and a blonde women stood frowning in the entrance, the girl went stiff as a board, though her complexion remained the same. "Rhodo, we need to talk." The lady replied formally, a frown on her face.[/fancypost]

  • [fancypost bgcolor=#000000 bordercolor=#4EEE94 borderwidth=2px; border: 2px dotted #4EEE94;border-radius: 20px; border-radius: 20px]
Sophia paced back and forth. Her best friend, Carly, had fallen down a flight of stairs and Sophia wasn't sure if Carly was okay. She had been taken to the hospital, but still, Sophia was worried. She wasn't sure exactly what happened, she just received a phone call from Carly's mother. "I'm sure Carly's okay," said Sophia's mother, trying to comfort her, but it wasn't working. What if Carly broke her leg? Or even worse, what if she busted her head open?

    Worry

  • Great job, now, I'll continue the lessons tomorrow because I'm going on a 'mini vacation'. ;D Keep practicing your writing, you're brilliant!

  • Yeah, it's Monday!

Now, let's move on to the 'joy' category.
Writing a paragraph where a character is happy or 'joyful'.

    Example;
Miranda beamed at the glorious sight of her birthday cake. The cake was chocolate with delicate white frosting covering it in smooth layers. Small white puffs of whipped cream bordered the sides of the cake, adding to it a sophisticated yet happy actualization. The brown haired girl turned to hug her mother and shout a word of thanks to everyone at the party. She truly was in a blithesome mood.

    Fun Tip;
Try using a thesaurus when you write. Not only do you add to your own personal vocabulary, but it gives your writing a sophisticated touch.

  • I usually use thesaurus.com when using a thesaurus. So anyways, here is my joy example!

Sophia exhaled, her pale fingers over her ultramarine eyes. "Adri, what is it?" Sophia asked. Adriana, Sophia's older sibling, announced that she had a gift for Sophia, but of course, it had to be a surprise. "Okay, open your eyes," said Adriana, applauding faintly. Sophia obeyed, taking her fingers from her eyes and examined what was on the floor. It was a tiny, blonde colored Cocker Spaniel puppy with a rosy ribbon tied gently around it's neck. Sophia looked breathlessly at the pup. She had always wanted a dog, and now, right in front of her cerulean eyes, there sat an obedient little puppy.

[fancyimage]http://i.imgur.com/SE6yL.png[/fancyimage]Wonderful! Oh, and that's what I use too.

Now, let's give the 'love' category a try.

    Example;
Romanus turned and hugged Shiranui. If they were going to die, he wanted to die with her. She was the only person that he trusted, the only person that cared for him anymore. "I like you too. You're...the only person that I can trust anymore. And it's my fault for getting stuck." It may have been the longest thing he'd ever said to her, but he was only able to do it because he believed in it so much.

"If you ever love someone, you have to tell them before you loose them."

Romanus wasn't sure where the voice had come from, or who had said it. It was only words, no images. But it was enough. "I love you." He held on to her, never wanting to let go. If the bear was planning on killing them, they would die in each others arms. Together.
