    Crashingtide led the tom toward a clearer space to train. "Alright. See that leaf over there? The bright red one. Pretend that's your prey and hunt it." He ordered without much explanation. In part he wanted to see how receptive Cliffpaw was to orders but also he wanted to see what he knew, if anything.

    Goldpaw nodded and ran off to Thunderstrike "Thunderstrike,Seastar told me to come to you can mentor me."she meowed

    Jaggedpaw padded into the apprentice den. He scented Lifepaw. " Lifepaw move over a bit could ya'! How am I supposed To sleep when your taking up half of my bedding?!" he said in an irritated mew.

    Thunderstrike nodded and purred shyly. "Of course.. Lets go.." He allowed her to lead the way. He felt light as air... How could I get her.. His ruffuling at the thought.

    Cliffpaw stared at the leaf. He lowered his hind legs and stared at it. His tail lowered too. His claws slipped out as he took a silent step closer. He scenced the air. Leaf... His eyes narrowing to slits as he stepped a bit closer. His hind legs bunched up and then... Pounce. He landed square on the leaf. Cliffpaw clawed the leaf where the neck would be and then smiled "How was that?"

    Thunderstrike looked at the yound apprentice and nodded "Sure.. we are heading out hunting.. I can teach you a few things.."

    Thunderstrike shrugged "It doesn't matter.. Where do you want to go Amberlight?"

    Thunderstrike nodded "That would be great!" He nodded for Amberlight to lead the way.

    Crashingtide grinned. "Not too shabby, kittypet!" He teased lightly. "Just remember to keep downwind for the real prey so you wont be detected." He paused, thinking for a moment. "How's about you try hunting real prey? It may seem a bit soon, but I'm sure there are plenty of mice and voles crawling around. They aren't too hard to catch." Perhaps if the clan saw that this cat could hunt and carry his own weight they would be a bit more likely to accept him.
