Kamii turned to the forest and though for a bit. If it really was broken she would need some Comfrey... But that other cat seems to think it's just a sprain. Know-it-all. "You might need to rest that paw."

"I agree. Honestly, I don't know what I'd do if I met a hostile cat - especially in my condition. I've never fought another cat before," she told Aspen. Aspen's comments made her worry a little more about her injury. She could barely hunt. What made her think that she could fend off an attacker?
-
Kamii could sense Piper's worry. She turned and looked to the forest. Of all the moons she spent denying her sister and her hostile ways of living alone, being with all these cats made her feel uncomfortable. She turned her head a little and began to nibble on the first mouse.
-
Biron trotted back the clearing with a clean looking rag in his mouth. He placed it at Piper's feet, "I found this rag that we could use to wrap around your paw. It would be helpful to pack the rag with snow, it will bring down the swelling." His copper eyes glinted, "You'll have to rest and keep that paw elevated. That means no more pouncing on prey for while."
He hesitated because he knew of the commitment he was about to make, and worried about their response to it. "I know its dangerous for a cat to be injured and alone... If you don't mind I could stick around until it heals. I'll hunt for you and scare anything away that might be a problem." -
She nodded, sitting quietly as she gazed up to the sky in thought. "Does anyone know if there is any place we could settle, that isn't so in the open, and that is more.. protective if we did come across a hostile cat? Or worse... She thought to herself, hoping it wouldn't come to that. Her hues shifted as she looked back to the other cats curiously.
-
Piper was thrilled. She was worried about whether these cats would abandon her since she was of no practical use. "I'd love that. Thank you," she licked his forehead to show her thanks. She was so happy that she completely ignored Aspen's question. She was too busy gazing at Biron.
-
"Hmm..." She got to her paws, padding off into the trees quietly, taking no notice if she was seen or not. After being more or less shrugged off by the others, she decided to wander off to find a place to rest for the night that would soon be upon them. Aspen kept alert, pausing to scent, or listen for anything that might be around. Whether prey, or something that would hunt her. Her bright eyes darted around, looking for anything, or any place that might serve the cats cover.
-
Not even Piper was oblivious enough to not notice that Aspen had left. "Aspen where ya goin'?" she called out.
-
ooc: sorry my boyfriend took over the computer!

ic: Biron watched Aspen pad away confused by her sudden coldness, "I suppose Aspen is right. We need to find some shelter from this weather. Here Piper, let me wrap that up for you so that we can move." -
"Okay, yeah, I agree" said Piper staring into his eyes. She held out her paw for Biron to wrap it.
-
Biron saw the trust in Piper's eyes and inwardly pulled from it. It wasn't that he didn't trust the little cat. He just didn't feel he deserved that trust. He wasn't a bad cat, he just felt he needed to make himself a better cat before becoming close to anyone. He smiled and quickly wrapped her paw. Then he helped her up and wondered aloud, "Where did everyone go?"
-
Kamii finished her mice and stood up, trotting towards Aspen. "Aspen, Aspen!"
-
The fae paused, looking back at her name. " Yes?" She asked warmly, sitting quietly as she waited for a reply. Her fur ruffled in the light breeze, letting out a relaxed sigh.
-
Biron called out, "Aspen, you were right, we need to find shelter." He glanced at Piper and turned to the she cats, "Have you guys found a place to stay? Piper really needs rest. "
-
((( Flooooooooooooood. :( Could some one please catch me up? )))
Trance stared blankly into space, not paying any attention. Suddenly the tom snapped out of his... trance, and looked around at the other cats. "Sorry, spaced out! What's happening?"
-
"We're going to find a place to rest." She replied to Trance, laughing quietly under her breath. "Know any places?"
-
Kamii nodded a little. "There was this place, tall trees, there was a small spring of water nearby. It has lots of fallen leaves, making it comfy. It also has lots of cover. It was just over that way." Kamii flicked her tail towards a small trail of bushes and twigs. "It's a little ways away."
-
Looking worried he turned to Piper, "Are you up for a little walk?" He was worried the stubborn little cat would push herself too far. Thats what he would do.
-
"Once you get there you'll be relieved. Do any of you know how to catch fish? I learned once. I think I still remember. There's a little stream with fish nearby the place I told you about. We could get a nice meal." Kamii smiled at the thought.
-
"Yupp, I'm up for anything," she smiled - obviously trying to impress him. She really wanted to become good friends with his cat.
