Sookie stared at a bare tree in the middle of a white field, hoping she'd be able to climb it when a dark shadow caught her eye. "Hello?" She asked without looking back.

Heronwing had been watching Sookie for a while that day, but she had just noticed him. He walked out of the bush he was hiding in. "Why are you in SnowClan Territory?" he asked, trying not to seem too threatening. His White fur with block splotches was laying down flat, and his amber eyes were curios, not angry.
-
Sookie turned around and had a startled look in her eyes. "Oh. Sorry i'm lost. I'm looking for a place to stay for the night," She stepped back from the tree and bowed. "I'm Sookie. My parent's were killed when i was a kit, and I've been on the run ever since," Her ice blue eyes shone.
-
Heronwing didn't know how, but he could tell she wasn't lying. "I guess you can stay the night somewhere," he said. " but try not to eat to much and stay out of sight, ok? My Clanmates will find your scent soon enough, and they'll try to hunt you down and chase you out. My name's Heronwing, by the way."
-
Sookie's eyes widened. "Oh my gosh thank you so much!" Sookie hugged Heronwing. "No one's ever been this nice to me," Sookie said. The young tom made her very happy.
-
Heronwing smiled. He had made her happy, and that made him happy. He knew he should've consulted his leader, but he probably would have made Sookie leave, and Heronwing did NOT want that. "No problem," he said. He smiled at her, and walked back to camp. Before he got too close, though, he had to lick her scent off of his fur.

Sookie climbed inside a hollow tree and layed down.
