Manillakit smiled snobbily as her father made her boo-boo all better. "Thankies!" She purred, licking the paw herself. "It cold." She commented, looking up at the sky. It was a placid steel blue-grey, and the foggy clouds shrouded the world in a wooley blanket of fleece. Would it snow again? That's what Manillakit thought, remembering the day it snowed - the day they first went outside.

Meadowsoul noded to Seven's comment about its. She then gave a sad smile at the kit's question, then followed by her fathers. "Well actually this is about it." she sighed. "We had a nursery but it's nothing but ashes now/" Of course they had taken some shelter but there wasn't much out where Windclan was.
I think thats right...
-
Sevenclaws smiled, "Here let me make you warm." He grabbed Manillakit and attempted to squish her. "Had enough?" He asked teasingly. He would worry about the den later.
-
AHH!" Manillakit squealed as she was squished, flailing her little paws in fear. "Ima hurt you!" She declared, unsheathing her sharp, kittish claws. "Ima hurt you real bad!" Family loyalty didn't yet exist in this kit's world.
-
Foxkit took a step back at his sister's outburst. "What ya doing, sis?" he asked, puzzled about her behaviour. "Dad was just be funny," he said with a shrug. Jokes were funny. Thus, the tabby would never take one seriously.
-
Meadowsoul aimed a light thawp at Manillakit's head. It in no way would harm her, not even come close, only knock her off step a bit. "Such behavior is not tolerated." she said in the sternest voice she could. Of course it wasn't very stern at all but it would suffice. She glanced up at Seven after she had done soon, having forgot that they weren't her kits. She could only hope he wouldn't be offended.
~~
A giggled escaped the quiet Conquestkit at his father's playful behavior. He stopped though as Manillakit acted the way she did and hissed at her as if trying to stop her. What was wrong with her? His attention was soon pulled away by a rustling a little bit away. He could have swore he smelt his mother but then again it was probably just the want to reflecting on him instead of it being real. -
Manillakit squirmed away from her father and aimed a deathly glare at the strange smelling cat. "But why?" She asked, leaving her sharp claws unsheathed.
-
Meadowsould glared back at the kit, just as deadly. This kit had attitude and though she hadn't finsihed her story for them to know, she had had kits before. Of course they hadn't lived to this old but she'd watched others. "Because kit's of such behaviour get no supper or play time." she plainly stated. At this point she didn't even think of whether she was crossing the line with Seven, this kit would learn respect. She didn't mind a kit with attitude and spunk, but they needed to know when it was appropriate and when it was not. "I would suggest you put your tiny and well, kit-like claws back where they belong." she imformed Manillakit as she glanced down at the kit's paws.
-
Foxkit looked uncomfortably at Conquestkit. He hadn't ever seen Manillakit act this way and it scared the tabby tomkit. What was getting in to her? "Is there more of WindClan?" he asked, looking up at Meadowsoul. "Like is this just it?" He motioned with a curt swish of his tail to camp, oblivious to the moorlands and territories that surrounded the camp.
-
Sevenclaws wasn't hurt by tiny kit claws of coarse but he was surprised Manillakit acted like that. Plus he was glad meadowsoul corrected hr for him. "Manillakit, that is rude and you could hurt someone like that, if you do that again you won't be able to play." He said sternly, he didn't want his kits to be rude while they where staying at a clan. "After we take Whisperkit to get better I am sure we can explore, right Meadowsoul?"
-
She was glad the father hadn't been offended by her actions and nodded in agreement to both his statement and question.
Meadowsoul's normal disposition instantly returned as she looked at the young tom, Foxkit. He sure did look like his father. A smile spread across her fae as she leaned down closer to him, between him and Conquestkit making certain to leave Manillakit out. As hard as it was for her, she did know how to practice tough love. "Well, I'll let you guys in on a secret..." she very quietly said, her eyes twinkling with delight.
~~~
Conquestkit returned to look that his brother gave him. All of a sudden, this new she-cat was getting closer to him. He leaned back at first, trying to move away... but as he heard her words he couldn't help but lean in toward her. -
Manillakit knew she was beaten. The adults -as always- had won the little silent 'Cold War' skirmish. "Fine." She pouted, retracting her claws to a safe position. As Meadowsoul spoke about a secret... well the kit was hooked. "What? What secret?" She asked loudly, bouncing around the small circle of felines. "I wanna know!" Meadowsoul had made it impossible to dart inside the circle, however, which made the little kitten very frustrated.
-
A small grin passed over Meadowsoul's face, one unnoticable to young Manillakit. She raised her with a grave look on her face as she looked at the kit. "I'm sorry but I don't think you've earned the right to be part of this." With that said she lowered her head back to the two boys. She was certain Manillakit had learned her lesson, but she was going to make sure it wasn't one leaned for the time being and forgot. No, this would stick.
-
Foxkit leaned in closer to Meadowsoul, his ears perking up in interest. Turning his head in the direction of his sister, he snickered, and stuck his tongue out teasingly at Manillakit.
-
Manillakit sat and pouted on the outside of the group, angry at the big weird-smelling cat and her own family for excluding her. Had Jadewing been here, she would've been able to know the secret!
-
Meadowsoul cocked an 'eyebrow' at Foxkit. "Ah ah, we still be nice." she informed him. With that she sat up full seat. "You guys will just have to wait to hear the secret. I must remeber important things first than play. And the important thing at hand is your sister, Whisperkit. That is why your mother trusted me with the four of you and I would hate to let her down." Her heart ached at the thought of their poor mother. Where could she be? Meadowsoul could also only imagine the depression and pain she had to be enduring.
~~
Conquestkit giggled as Foxkit stuck out his tongue. He abruptly stopped though as Meadowsoul repremanded Foxkit, not wanting to associated with him now. His little body suck in dissapointment at her words. Stupid Whisperkit he thought. He instantly felt bad for his thoughts though. She was his sister and she hadn't been right for awhile. Actually she hadn't been right for as long as he could remember. It wasn't fair to her either.
-
Sevenclaws nodded, "Yes, can we take Whisperkit now? I could wake her up." He said, all he wanted was to have all four of his kits happy and healthy. He wanted Whisperkit to be able to join in on the fun. It was a simple wish but why did the tabby think it was to hard to get?
Whisperkit was thurst back into reality with a coughing fit, making her throat sour and making it hard to breath. She was mad, why must life be so cruel? Where she couldn't even get a long nap without coughing so hard, all the little kit want was to slip back into dreamland, it hurt less there.
Sevenclaws immediately picked Whisperkit up and started to lick her, trying to ease her coughing.
-
Meadowsoul nodded and her face set into a distraught look as Whispperkit's condition showed itself all over again. She didn't want to drag eveyone to the medicine cat den but she didnt want to just leave with his kit. "How bout you wait here with them and I shall go fetch the meddie cat for her?" she asked. It wasn't really meant to be a question though.
~~
Conqueskit's face scrunched up as he thought about what Meadowsould had said. Meddie cat?? What in the moons name was that?? -
Manillakit got bored as the attention shifted from her, to her sickly sister. "Ima go play." She meowed, making a move to pad away. The worst they could do was stop her.
-
Sevenclaws didn't know what a meddie cat was either but whatever Meadowsoul thought would help. 'Alright." He said. He looked at the other kits, they were probably were bored, maybe it wouldn't hurt if they played. "Manillakit why don't you go with Foxkit and Conquestkit? You guys could go play nearby. Just as long as you don't go to far."
Whisperkit finally calmed downed but now she felt awful, her throat was sore so she didn't bother talking. She just curled up into a little ball hoping to go back into dreamland, not this nightmarish place.
