The first thing Sofia saw when she opened her eye was sky and fluffy white clouds scudding overhead. The first thing she felt was soft, warm sand. She sat up quickly and felt a sharp pain in her forehead. The last thing she remembered was being on a ship in the middle of a storm.

Sofia! Are you okay!" Kiki yelled
-
Miyako was laying on the sand until she felt an intense shaking on her right arm.
"Miyako wake up! Wake up!" The familiar voice of her brother Akihiro cried. -
Jaden sat up, suddenly heaving as she started coughing up both water and spitting sand out of her mouth. Soon she felt a hand pounding her back as her brother, Cadon, started to work on her, apparently having been up longer. "Jay, work with me," he muttered, smacking her hard on the back with a cupped hand as she spat out yet more water. "For Pete's sake, stop smacking me!" she rasped, her voice low and gravelly from the swallowed sand and water. "Glad to know you're among the living," he muttered, helping her stand up shakily, his dark brown hair plastered to the nape of his neck and below his ears, green eyes searching the island worridly. "How many... else?" Jaden muttered almost incomprehensively, trying to spew as much water from her lungs as possible. "I don't know...," her brother mumbled, standing up to his full 6 foot, 3 inches and shading his eyes to look around.
-
Damien lay on the beach. The sun felt burning hot and his head was pounding.
Luke dragged himself higher up the beach and looked around. Kids were picking themselves and their friends out of the water. Maybe, they should round up and see who was alive.

Miyako is the girl and Akihiro is the boy.Miyako opened up her eyes to catch a blurry view of her brother.
"Thank god your still alive!" Akihiro cried as he held on to his little sister. Feeling the tears run down his face, Miyako felt a sharp pain in her right leg that she didn't feel until right now. -
Shea sputtered. She forced open one eye, then the other. The shipwreck had grown her and the other passengers on this island. She stood up, and said to the other refugees, "We must find water and shelter. We cannot stay here." Sheas knowledge of survival was vital to her friends health.
-
"Yes, I agree. But, we have to form small groups to search this island for resources that we can use." Akihiro said remembering what his teacher said in survival class.
Miyako heard her and stood up but, she fell back down and noticed that her ankle was bleeding a heavy amount of blood. Akihiro helped her back up and placed her on his back. -
"i understand. Akihiro and Miyako, come with me. If anyone else wants to come please do." Shea turned off into the small forested patch of the island, looking for water.
-
They nodded and started following Shea into the forest.
-
Shea located a small stream.
-
Akihiro set Miyako aside nearby the stream. He ripped up a part of his sleeve and dipped it in the water. Then carefully wrapped it around Miyako's ankle hoping it would soothe the pain.
-
Shea found a plant with bright red berries. She picked a few and handed them to the girl, "Natural pain killers." Shea told her.
-
Miyako smiled as she started eating. "Thank you." She said in a soft voice.
-
Sofia, who had come with them on the treck, gasped as she popped the berries into her mouth. "NO!" She screamed, smacking her on the back of the head to make her spit them out. "That's Nightlock! A look-alike berry to those 'painkiller' berries! Spit them out! Spit them out!" she cried. "You have to pay attention to the leaves. See? These are jagged. Never eat any fruit with jagged leaves. The plant you're looking for has rounded leaves." As they looked around for the painkiller, she picked a handful of berries off the bush and slipped them into her pocket. She bent down to the stream and put some water on her head wound to cool it off; many kids needed first-aid. and fast. But she didn't know how to do that...
-
Luke looked at them, thinking that they had a good idea. Looking down at Damien, he realized he was one of the best chances these kids had in medical. He pulled himself up and lift Damien into a standing position. " Can you walk?" He asked his friend.
Damien nodded. " I'm just a little wiped." He said with a big sigh. " And let me lean on you for a bit." Slowly, the two made their way up to Shea, Miyako, Sofia, and Akihiro.
" Hey. I'm Luke and this is Damien. I heard you need a medic. I'm in training for one. I can help." Luke offered as he lower Damien to the ground.
-
Miyako quickly responded and threw away the berries and quickly washed her mouth.
"T-thank you for warning us before we actually knew what those berries really are." Akihiro thanked her.
"Yes we do need a medic to help my little sister who might have a broken ankle but, I'm not really sure." Akihiro said pointing at the blood stained sleeve that he recently used to help her ease the pain. -
Sofia smiled shyly. "I made the same mistake you did in my grandmother's garden. She warned me about them; I was only six, but I remember it quite clearly." She turned to Luke who had just walked up. "I will need a medic to look at my head, but it seems like Miyako needs you more. Something's wrong with her ankle; as Akihiro said, it looks broken." She nodded towards the two.
-
All of a sudden, a high-pitched scream erupts from the woods.
ooc: lol, I'm terrible at introductions.
-
( That's cool!)
Luke looked around. " Some one is in help." He said. He looked at Damien. " Stay here and... don't do anything stupid." He said. Then, he started racing off to where the scream came from.
Damien gave his best friend a thumbs up before laying his head on the sand.
