Dawnpaw sat silently on the fringes of the camp. Her paw was fine now, it had only been sprained, but she felt horriable about how she and Phantompaw had said goodbye. She'd been sulking around eversince Chimerapaw stopped fussing over her leg. She wanted to fix everything.

On the surface of the horizon a bedraggled silhouette limped towards the direction of home, the light of sunset spilling behind his figure, creating a long and deep shadow. The ginger tabby felt exhausted from travel, not so much from the little fighting he had done, and stressed about his situation with Dawnpaw. Surely she wasn't still mad at him? Phantompaw missed her, longed to look into those beautiful pools of emerald, to feel the comfort of her body next to his, to hear her lovely voice...brown optics looked up from the ground, and he let out a gasp as he saw her. Without a thought, he sprinted towards the she-cat, his friend and most probably future mate."Dawnpaw!", he meowed, words coming out in a high pitched squeak of excitement. The tabby touched his nose to hers and purred."I never thought I'd get home...so glad to see you." Phantompaw leaned back and smiled, taking in her pretty features. It was good to be home.</blockquote></blockquote> -
Dawnpaw jumpped, looking up witha startled expresstion displayed on her muzzle. Recognision flashed in her eyes, witch lit up at the sight of the Ginger tom infront of her. "P-Phantompaw?" she mewed, needing reassurence that it was really him. Fluffy ginger fur, sparkling brown eyes, clumsy gait..it had to be him. She stood, leaning forward and pressing herself into him. "I was so afraid you'd never come back and that I'd never have the chance to say I'm sorry and that I love you so much and that I hate you for leaving but I'm so glad your back!" she mewed, her voice muffled and cracking as salty tears slid into her pelt. He was home...it was really him.

<blockquote><blockquote>
"Yep, that's me.", he meowed lightly. Phantompaw raised an eyebrow as the she-cat burst into tears, spilling out emotions."It's okay, I'm back now...though it'd be nice if I was welcomed home with a smile instead of tears.", he responded, smiling softly. For some strange reason, the way she was currently acting amused him. He licked her cheek, purring deeply, and rested his head on her's."I don't know about you, but I'm exhausted." Though his seeing her had brightened the day, it couldn't completely shake off the weariness in his limbs.</blockquote></blockquote> -
Dawnpaw drew away from Phantompaw, her eyes shining happily. "They're happy tears...trust me." she mewed, smiling as the tears slowly died down into nothing. She looked him over at his comment about being tired. He looked horriable. Scraggly fur, healing wounds, an obiously injured leg...what had happened out there. "Oh, Phantompaw! What did you do to yourself! I told you not to go, but apparently nocat likes to listen to Dawnpaw. Why should they?" she muttered, sniffing at his wounds. None of them smelt infected.

"Good to hear.", he meowed, purring and rubbing his cheek on hers. Phantompaw laughed lightly and drew back to lick a few scratches and smooth his matted fur. It was pretty bad when Phantompaw had an unkempt coat, since he had OCD and could hardly stand having a spot of dirt on his light orange pelt."Hey, I think that was something I had to do. To prove myself to the clan. Maybe now I can become a warrior..."</blockquote></blockquote> -
Dawnpaw sighed, shaking her head. "Phantompaw you mouse brained tom! You don't have to prove anything! You and I were going to become warrriors no matter what! Lionnip says my ceremony's really soon and you still don't hunt all that well...no offence. You missed a lot of training..." she mewed softly, licking Phantompaw's fur to help smooth it.

<blockquote>OOC | What sounds better: Phantomwind or Phantombreath?
BIC | Phantompaw frowned."I thought I was good at hunting...", he trailed off, one side of his mouth curving up, not in a smile, but a sort of emotionless smirk."...well, I need to get going. I'm exhausted...maybe tomorrow we could have a training session? I need all the knowledge I can get." The ginger tabby purred and dipped his head to her, and tiredly turned towards the apprentices' den. Home sweet home. He walked in and collapsed in his familiar old nest, curling into a neat ball of orange fur, expecting Dawnpaw to follow. It would be heaven to once more sleep by her side.
OOC | Oh, and let's make a new thread. A training thread, I guess. And pretend Phantompaw already rested. xD</blockquote> -
Dawnpaw rolled her eyes at Phantompaw's coment. "Let's hope you got better on the way to battle, hm?" she purred, her green eyes shinning. She trotted along quickly behind him, happy beyond belief that he was home. She curled up in the next beside him, resting her head on his back. She sighed, drinking in his oh-so-femiliar scent before closing her eyes and drifting to sleep.
OOC; Phantomwind sounds better! And sure! I'll make the new thread now!
