    Jace jumped out his bedroom window and ran. He had to get away from his parents. They couldn't know about his powers. Ever.

    Poppy found it ironic that she knew exactly when she would fall, what she would fall on, and still tripped on it. She muttered a curse under her breath when her ankle twisted under her as she fell, and she cried out in pain quietly.

    Rhaegar's head snapped up. For a second, she was still and quiet; the next, she ran softly to the outcry of pain, darting across the street and hoping she hadn't been noticed.

    Poppy tried to stand and winced from the effort. "Great," She muttered, then called out to the girl, "I know your there. I know we're going to meet." Kinda creepy, Poppy thought, but true.

    Jace put his head in his hands. He was only 12 he couldn't live on the streets.

    Rhaegar's features came into view: her dark hair was a cold, misty amber in the dim moonlight, her eyes clear silver orbs.
    She sat down and looked at Poppy. "No. I understand...you're one of us special people, aren't you? With some sort of odd power. Kinda like a..a superhero?" Rhaegar's grey eyes looked hopeful yet sad. Her eyes flickered to near Jace, hearing the familiar sound of sneaker-on-pavement. "Hello?" she looked over.

    "A boy is there," Poppy said, her voice sounding oddly detached. She blinked her green eyes a few times and came back into herself. "Sorry. But there is a boy there. And yes, I'm special. I know things that will happen. Things that will happen in the future. It's... odd. Knowing things are going to happen, but not being able to stop them." Poppy sent a rueful glance at her ankle.

    Jace walked out of the alley. He heard police sirens and started running.
