  • Sookie strutted towards the tree while sobbing. "Is anybody here?" She yelped into the night

  • She was startled by the tom and moved back quickly. "Oh...uh...who are you?" Sookie asked him

  • His tail brushed her flank and he murmured softly " My name is Jadquinn. I'm going to take care of you. Your going to be ok"

  • "O-ok," Sookie mewed. "I'm sorry. I'm lost...I ran from home," She felt the earth under her and heard something coming towards the two.

  • He stood up ears alert. "Someone's coming" He muttered darkly he turned to her "Don't worry I'll take care of you"

  • "o-ok," Sookie said as she hid behind him.

  • The large, jet black tom had been watching the she-cat for a little over fifteen minutes now. He payed no attention to the other tom, he only had his eyes fixed on her. She was the most beautiful thing he had ever seen.

  • "Who do you think it is?" Sookie asked the tom. Her ears layed down and she stood back growling at a shadow in the darkness.

  • "I'm not sure, but no matter what I'll protect you. I'll keep you safe. I guess that's because... even though we just met... I'm already in love with you" He said a bit embarrassed but glad to finally let out his feelings.

  • Sookie's eyes widened. She smiled and rubbed against him, her tail brushing his face. She then licked his cheek and layed down beside him. "I'm glad your here," Sookie said while staring at the shadow.

  • Sookie looked at him suprised. "Well...uh...," Before sookie could answer she saw a black cat step out of the dark. Sookie soon figured out that he was the shadow.

  • Aquatail stepped out of the shadows surprised by all the cats that were here. He gazed at sookie and blushed he had never seen a cat as beautiful as her before and he kept his gaze fixed on her.

  • Sookie stepped back. "Why is everyone starat me?" Sookie asked blushing a bright red.

  • Xanthos stepped gracefully leapt off the fence he`d been standing on. Xanthos had been listening to the tom in disgust. He slowly padded towards the she-cat, a literal expresion on his face. "They are staring a you because they are simply planning ways to quickly get you to become their mate." He said slowly. "Like this young tom right here." He snapped, angling his tail towards Jadquinn. "He comes up to you, says he`ll gaurd from a threat that doesn't exist, and then asks to be your mate. Xanthos let out a sigh. "If I were I would say no, that tom probably doesn't care about you one bit, he`s just so desperate that he`ll try to get one with even getting to know her." He finished, his face now showing a hint of anger.

  • Sookie looked confused, then eyeballed jadquinn. "Well.....I'm...not sure about anything!" Sookie said as she started to back up and run off. The memories went through her mind of what has happened in the past. Something like this had happened before to the young she-cat. Her heart swelled up, and her mind became tangled in many thoughts. She was just so conused. She finally stopped after running nonstop for three hours, and fell over out of breath near a tall swamp tree.

  • Xanthos had been following Sookie slowly, trailing behind her. After a few hours, he found Sookie in a small clearing. Xanthos slowly paddde up and sat down a feet next to her. "I`m not like them. I don't pick out she-cats for their looks only to throw them out and pick a new one." He said, his voice full of disgust. "You don't need to be scared of me."

  • Sookie looked at Xanthos. "You know, I'm just tired of everything. Ever since my parents died when i was a kit, everything's turned out wrong. I just can't stand it!" Sookie slumped over on her side with no will to live. She did not move. She just stared straight and sang an old lullaby her mom sang to her.
