  • Meredith lied on the soft blankets on the pet bed, head on her paws. She gazed out the window, wondering whether this was all she's got in life. A small twoleg home, and never past the brook. She listened to Snowkit's rhythmic chewing and began to drift off.

  • Meredith woke at the crack of dawn. She began cleaning her fur. She felt bad making Snowkit and Frozensun eat the pellets, so she decided to do one thing she has never before-steal from the refrigerator.

Padding quickly and quietly to the kitchen, she flexed her claws around the handle until their was a pop. She stepped in, her fur bushing up against the cold, and searched for something to eat. She sniffed around until she came across a tuna fish, and dragged that out. She then carefully kicked the door back into the place, and contentedly padded back to Snowkit and Frozensun. She set the fish down at their feet, as a farewell gift.

  • Meredith flicked her tail apologetically. "Sorry," she meowed. "But I don't think I could ever toughen up enough to be a wild cat."

  • OOC:What clan is Willowbark from?

IC: Meredith smiled. She liked her enthusiasm. "Maybe one day, little one." she meowed. "But now I'm afraid you have to go before my twolegs see you. They do not like it when I bring home other cats. But if you have nowhere to stay, you can go in the backyard. They won't notice you there."

  • Meredith went out to stretch her legs, as they were stiff. She four her paws leading her back to the brook.

  • OOC: then what is she restocking herbs for? She can't be a med cat yet.

IC: Meredith lay by the riverbank, wondering whether she could catch a fish to make up for the missing one. As she lay in wait, her paws soon grew heavy and without realizing it she began to doze in the hot summer sun as the warm wind whisked through her fur.

Meanwhile, Meredith's owners were sadly moving big cardboard boxes from the house to a large truck labeled: 1-800-MOVINGTRUCKS. The father of the family found a once-in-a-lifetime job opportunity at a big city. There are hardly any houses there, and the available apartments don't allow pets. But they can't find the cat they were going to give to the animal shelter. They realized the fish was gone, but weren't angry as it was a sort of farewell gift.

  • OOC: lol it's okay :)

IC: Meredith woke up and stared across the brook. Every rustle, every shift made her fur tingle in excitement. She walked a long ways until she reached the gate that blocked the bridge to cross into a path that lead to a park. She hauled herself up easily, and slung over the other side. She padded, satisfied, across to the other side and ran off the twoleg path. She entered deeper into the forest. She gazed around, wonderstruck. Without realizing it she walked for the rest of the day. It's time to go back, she thought. As she turned around a light drizzle began to pour. A hint of panic edged her footsteps. The rain was washing away her scent. She padded quicker, as it was getting dark. After even longer than it had taken to get in the forest, she decided to face the fact that she was lost. After miserably searching around, she found a damp mossy bed under some large tree roots. What I wouldn't give for a nice, warm fireplace beside me now.
