Striker, a part andean mountain cat, and ocicat saw the she-cat. He was one of the rich, mansion kittypets, who had his own workout room/training room. He was training to be a warrior cat. He was a healer, fighter, hunter, anything a feline would dream of. He found a bundle of cobwebs, and pressed them firmly. Grabbing more, he noticed the blood was starting to go down. With the new bundle, he wrapped it around, what was left of the leg. He smelt marigold, and tracked it down, bringing it back fresh. He handed it to the cat, with some poppy seeds. "Here." his voice was muffled by the herbs
-
She looked up and felt a stabbing pain in her leg. "I'm fine." she answered shyly. Then jerked back as she noticed she was talking to a kittypet. But then she felt as though she didn't mind. and she thanked him kindly.

-
He smiled. "I'm no kittypet." he read her mind. "Well I am, but I plan moving out from my rich, pampered life. I'm Striker. Who might you be?" he flirted a bit
-
"well... um i'm ..." she made a confused face. "Actually i don't know wat my name is." she replied "The only thing i remember is..." she looked at her leg made a face and turned away. "But i do remember one thing. The last thing i remember is traveling through the woods with a cat and then there was a badger and he told me to stand back and then he... he..." Tears started to well up in her ruby colored eyes. She looked into striker's eyes she saw warmness and she brightened up a bit.

-
He brushed away her tears with his tail. He nodded. "I'm sorry." he meowed.
-
"It's ok... I'm fine now" she looked at him eyes glimmering. Then she jumped at the sound of her stomach growling. Hmmm I must be hungry how long has it been since i last ate. And what did i eat she thought licking her lips with distaste.

-
He noticed his stomach was grumbling. "How about I catch us a meal?" he suggested
-
She looked at him and nodded in agreement. When she tried to get up she yowled in pain and fell to the floor a suprised look on her face. Her eyes clouded as she realized she'd never be the same again especially with only 3 legs. She looked at Striker. Then scrambled into a sitting position looking at her paws.
-
He helped her. "Easy, easy." he murmured. "Later, I have something, to help you, with your leg. I used to have a fake leg made for me, when the trauma happened." he told her. "My Twolegs, don't know I am leaving them, so I can go back." he suggested. "I'll grab it, and install it on you." he dashed off, and came running back, with the leg, clamped in his jaws. "First, I'll hunt." he kept in sight of her.
-
She thought momentarily, " Wat are these little twoleg things i trust him so i should trust this to help me." She wanted to ask wat the trauma was but she didn't want to act nosy so she sat alittle lopsided and waited for him to return.
-
He brought back a sparrow, and a vole. "This should do for now." he meowed. "If you're wondering what the trauma was, I used to live with Twolegs that abused me. I still had my fake leg, when I moved in with the new ones." he explained. "I'd rather not say any more. I just don't like talking about my old Twolegs." he admitted
-
"Oh no I did want to know but... nevermind" She felt ashamed he could read her mind. she picked up the vole and took bites out of the edge and around it. She felt like she'd never had anything more tasty and began munching more delightedly on it. After she had finished she did a big yawn and looked at striker. She did a playful purr and prodded him in the side. ;)
-
He purred. "My sparrow is like 2 times the size of your vole, so would you like some of my sparrow?" he offered
-
She purred and nodded. she couldn't believe she was still hungry."Well it's must just come naturally for you your a handsome young tom all the prey must come running." She said in a playful voice. She padded over took a peck at the sparrow and limped over to a wood overhanging and curled into a ball. She soon fell asleep. She dreamed of a badger clawing at her face and biting her leg. Then she heard another voice it was oz. "Run ruby... run as fast as you can...!" There was a gurgling sound and darkness consumed her. She started to jerk and figit in her sleep "ruby i'm ruby!" She yelled sleep talking.
-
Striker had been awake, guarding her. He prodded her awake. "Are you okay, Ruby?" he used her name
-
Ruby jumped startled and began licking her ruffled fur. "Yes yes i am..." Ruby said shocked."So i guess my names Ruby then." Ruby shuffled up to striker and pressed against his body still shivering from the shock.

-
He licked her head. "You have your name now." he purred
-
She had heard him and drifted off to sleep by his side

-
He smiled
