<blockquote>Scarredfang made his way out toward the camp. The tom took a heavy breath in before leaping upon the rock again. "Would everybody old enough to catch their own prey please join beneath the tall rock for a Clan meeting?" called the tabby. Flicking his tail, he ushered Ambrosiaflare to take the stand and announce the news.</blockquote>

<blockquote>She pushed out of the Warriors Den, shacking snow from her tuxedo pelt. She held herself steady, despite the numb feeling of sleep that still hung over her. Scarredfang, the unofficial leader of Windclan, stood up on the calling rock.
The tom had the makes of a fine leader, or at least Dewsong thought so. Marching up to take her place under the rock, she waited. Wrapping her tail over her haunches to ward off the cold.</blockquote>

Featherglow trotted into the main camp, practically glowing with happiness. She hadn't realized how much she missed warrior duties until she was without them for moons. Between having her kits and the disappearance of Dreamstar, she'd been cooped up in camp forever, it seemed. Under Scarredfang things were already looking up. The tortoiseshell found a spot looking up at Scarredfang, blinking contentedly.
Loyalpaw slipped out of the apprentice's den and looked around, eyes searching for any of this siblings. Shrugging, he settled in to listen to the meeting as well.
Magicpaw positioned herself as far away from Dewsong as possible. Instead she took up a spot beside Featherglow, keeping her green eyes fixed on Scarredfang.
Paintedsky hovered at the back of the meeting, not drawing attention to herself.
(OOC: Yes, 2000th post! BAZINGA.)

Hazelwood's hazel eyes flashed from the shadows of her nest. The black she-cat peered out towards the rock, her long, silky tail sweeping around as she watched cats begin to gather.
--Gravelstorm stalked out of the den, trying to step on as little snow as possible as she made her way to the edge of the small crowd. The dilute torbie scr.aped a small area of snow away, shook out her paws, then stepped into the clean spot and took a seat. A muscle in her shoulder twitched as a few sprinklings of snow began to melt off the back of her neck and trickle down her spine.

Littlekit sat at the enterance to the nursery. She wasnt atauly old enough to join meeting but sitting from the sidelines and watching wasnt going to hurt anybody. She looked up to ScarredFang who sat high above her. To her he looked somewhat relived 'whats going on?' she thought only to bite back on saying it a loud she didnt want to be sent back inside so remained silent and watched the gathering crowd

oOC:I hope this is liquid time
Tansytrance came from the entrance, coming back from hunting. She saw the group and went to join them. She soon saw that is was about Scarredfang again, great, more commotion she thought.
-
Once again Asppaw was ready for a meeting. There had been too few of recent, with the lack of leadership the clan had experienced. He couldn't help things would be better for him now if things had been better with a leader, maybe things would have been less stressful. Or maybe his mother wouldn't be dead. Too many uncomfortable what ifs.
-
Gracerain was relieved that there was a meeting. Windclan was falling apart, and she didn't want to raise her kits like that. Her belly heavily laden with unborn kits, the white she-cat padded over to the rest, looking up at their unofficial 'leader' of sorts.

((OOC| Congrats Peo!))
Dazzlepaw sat down by her brother with a confident tail-flick. She was young, hardy, and not afraid of change. A new leader was all well and good in the young red and white tabby's eyes. She didn't like Dreamstar because she'd been the one to punish her parents. She grinned and waved a cheerful paw at her mother Paintedsky.
Blazingdawn settled beside his mate with a nuzzle to Painredsky's ear. "What do you think of all this?" He murmured.Despite the apprentice-enforce punishment Dreamstar had placed upon he and his mate... things could have been worse. Muh worse.
Shyly Aquapaw made her way over to Asppaw, one of the only cats she knew to talk to. She was grown even more shy since her brother had set off for the battle, and nodded silently at the black smoke.
Faithheart was scowling, but that was normal for the pretty, slight mink tabby. She sat glaring up at Tallrock as if it were to blame for the clan's problems.
Watching these cats gather Ambrosiaflare for the first time felt age creep up on her. She was a young cat yet, with no greying of the deep dark muzzle, no loss of muscle tone in her supple body. And yet she'd seen so much, and this next step would carry her further than she could see back when she looked over a shoulder.
But step she must, and so she leaped atop Tallrock with a graceful bound and poised there, letting her gaze settle upon the faces she'd grown up with. "Cats of Windclan, there has been a sign from Starclan." She began, making no introductions, no excuses. "They have asked for our new leader. Scarredfang goes to receive his nine lives tonight."
-
Tansytrance just looked at Scarredfang and shrugged, 'at least we have a leader now' she thought. She was a new warrior but she still felt the need to be part of the clan more then she already was.
-
Well that was that. What happened to Dreamstar and Ravepelt? Asppaw's brow furrowed suspiciously. No, perhaps not with suspicion, but concern. Dreamstar had lives left, didn't she? Was she dead? She must be for StarClan to send such a sign. The black smoke bowed his head. New leader. Scarredfang. Scarredstar. He tried to smile at Aquapaw, but the whole thing caught him as a more serious matter.
-
Hazelwood could hear quite well from where she was, but she was hardly listening. Scarredfang... Scarred...star....Scarredstar... The name didn't really roll off the tounge like Dreamstar's had. The black she-cat amused herself with muttering his soon to be leader's name to herself. It was kind of fun to say.
--Gravelstorm's ears flattened a bit. She didn't want a new leader, she wanted Dreamstar to be leader again. It wasn't like Gravelstorm had anything against Scarredfang, it was just that change had always been hard for her. Not to mention that they didn't have any closure. She was thinking the same as Asppaw. What had happened to them, were they dead? Where were they?
-
<blockquote>Dewsong nodded approvingly. This was exacting what Windclan needed, another strong leader. Ever since the disappearance of Dreamstar and Ravepelt then clan had been hectic but they couldn't stay down forever. Starclan must have sensed that because they sent a sign to Ambrosiaflare. The clan couldn't despair over there former leader forever.
"Congratulations Scarredfang!" she called loudly. "Scarredstar!"</blockquote>
-
(OOC: Thanks Chris ^^)
Paintedsky shrugged, subconsciously moving a little closer to Blazingdawn. "Maybe with Dreamstar out of the way everyone can forget about us now." she sniffed. Though Dreamstar could have been much harsher on the two of them, it was time to move on. Hopefully Scarredfang would be a good leader.
Featherglow flicked her tail back in forth excitedly. "Congratulations!" she called softly. There was no doubt in her mind now that Scarredfang would do a good job. He wasn't even officially leader yet and things were already looking up.
Loyalpaw shot a curious look at Dazzlepaw. He wasn't quite sure how he felt about Scarredfang. If Dazzlepaw thought it was alright though, then it could only be a good thing.
"Yay! Go Scarredstar!" Magicpaw cheered, bouncing up and down excitedly. Now WindClan would be the best Clan in the forest!
-
Goldenpaw padded out of the apprentices den just in time to hear Ambrosiaflare's message. The golden she-cat had nothing to say about Scarredfang becoming leader. She'd barly known Dreamstar, only talking to her a few times. She had disapeared right after Goldenpaw had become an apprentice, but the she-cat still couldn't shake the fact that WindClan was just going to give up on Dreamstar and Ravenpelt.
But even since they had dissapeared the Clan had started to fall apart. Maybe it was good that Scarredfang was going to be leader. If StarClan wished for it to happen, then it was to be.
Sighing inwardly, the golden female padded back inside the apprentices den. -
Ferretpaw made his way through the crowd, finally spotting his brother, Asppaw. He hurried to the black smoke's side, an odd grace in his step. "Hi," He whispered, taking a seat. A new leader? What had happened? He'd missed a lot, being deep in grief over his mother. Either way, it didn't directly affect him. Sure, perhaps the Clan would be run better now, but...It didn't bring his mother back, or his father.
-
<blockquote>"Thank you," Scarredfang murmured, turning his gaze down to the Tallrock. StarClan had sent a sign for all of them. That meant that Dreamstar and Ravenpelt were not going to come back. The entire time the tom had been trying to fix WindClan, he had desperately wished for the pair to return. "This may be a sad time, for we have lost a great leader and deputy. I wish them well. I will do my very best to lead the Clan as efficiently." Never would the tom part with bad words left against his former Clan mates. Jumping down, the tom started to pad back into the den. Then he stopped and turned back to the group. "I would like two cats to come with me, any volunteers?"</blockquote>
-
<blockquote>Dewsong bowed her head, eyes closed as if in pray, letting Scarredfang's words flow over her. It was true, even she would miss Dreamstar and Ravepelt, but life had to go one, even theirs.
Her ears perked at his question and she lifted her head, travel with her new leader to visit Starclan? She had been once before like ever apprentice had to do before becoming a warrior, but never before since. Raising her voice she called, "I will travel with you Scaredfang, and if you wouldn't mind my apprentice Magicpaw."</blockquote>
-
Mothfury stood up and meowed, "I will come with you if you like, Scarredfang." She was a pretty russet torbie with brown stripes and a slight limp. That was because when she was a little kit and a loner Moth had been hit by a monster and broke a leg. Windclan took her in and the little loner kit trained and became a ferice warrior who did not let her limp slow her down.
Magicalpaw watched Scarredfang but did not say anything for he really did not want to go on a journey at the moment.
Serpentkit gazed up at Scarredfang and whispered, "that will be me one day."
Cinderfoot let out a little sigh and whispered, "may Starclan be with you, Scarredfang."
-
Tansytrance looked at Scarredfang, "May I go?"She asked.
