  • The young alpha female watched her territory of all camp. Their small camp was surrounded by forests. High trees that reached up to the high sky. Soon, the wolves would awake. Mackenzie just couldn't sleep. The witchcrafters spoke of something about coming to visit, but they told her when they least expected it when she asked when. Her pack was so carefree and Mackenzie was totally against the Witchcraft. Not only would she have to keep watch and nose high, she'd also have to chose a mate. She told them she did, but she'd like to surprise them. She was always the best liar you would probably know. So here she stood in wolf form, russet fur blowing in the wind, keeping her head high, her nose only catching the sweet smelling scent of elk. Then she wondered about where Fawn was, for the Healer always went to the sacred meetings with Witchcraft.

You must not worry young alpha. The sweet voice of Fawn entered her head and she turned to see the white wolf appeared from a sweet rich green brush, flowers blooming on it. Mackenzie sighed and nodded quietly looking at the sky.I fear I'll be too late before I even realize it. We have to grow up way too quick. I wish for my packs freedom. Mackenzie continued on. Fawn nodded curtly. I know.

  • Micah and Ryder walked through the forest, going through their patrols.

I wonder what is troubling our new Alpha. Ryder said as he noticed her, but kept walking.

Something important I assume, something that doesn't involve us, if the Alpha needs us she shall inform us, we should head back to the rendevous for the next patrollers. Micah replied.

  • Fawn turned her head, her nose twitching to catch sight of two wolves roaming the forest. Ryder- Micah. she barked to the Alpha. Mackenzie turned her head to see them both. She gave a wolfy grin. She assumed she'd share the troubles with her Beta later but she had she remember - carefree. She looked at Fawn… Should we join them? You can collect herbs. Fawn's tail wagged. Sure! Ryder, Micah! Fawn called running towards them, Mackenzie following.

  • Micah and Ryder turned towards them. Ryder giving them a wolfy grin and cocking his head.

Micah looked at them, his head raised and his ears at attention.

Hey, Mack! Fawn! Ryder barked playfully.

Micah sighed and shook his head mentally at Ryder's greeting. Hello, Mackenzie and Fawn.

  • Mackenzie dipped her head. Greetings Ryder, Micah. Glad to see you awake on such a fine morning have you checked the borders yet? She asked lifting her head and looking at them both. Fawn rolled her eyes playfully and looked at him. You are almost 17 and yet you act like someone that's my age and immature. she teased and started to sniff the grass for a whiff of some kind of borage.

  • Ryder snorted, Just cause I'm almost 17 don't mean I have to act like an adult! I got a year and a half till that! Plus, Micah is adult enough for both of us!

Micah rolled his eyes, Yes, the borders have been checked, and rechecked. We did two rounds to make sure. Is there anything else you would like done?

  • [font=times new roman]Nice Fawn whispered faintly. She looked at the Alpha and Beta. Mackenzie looked at her and just by eye reading, Fawn nodding understandingly. Come on, Ryder you coming with me to collect herbs. More like asking? More of an order! She said it not harshly, but casually. She started to trot out into the meadow to check the small garden she kept gaurded with electric fences, and sometimes the wolves checked.
Mackenzie watched as Fawn walked away and looked at Ryder nodding dismissvly. She then turned to Micah. Everything clear? she asked, her eyes glittering with worry./font]

  • Ryder shrugged and followed Fawn.

Micah nodded, everything appears to be, but everyone can tell something is up with you Kenzie, even Ryder noticed, he said and his eyes held a concerned look within them.

  • Yes. Yes. I was planning on sharing that with you. Um... the meeting with witchcraft. They will be coming soon, I know we completely don't follow their rules but they will be visiting. They just didn't tell me when. And they want me to have a mate, they think I already do. Mackenzie answered, starting to walk more into the forest, opposite from Ryder and Fawn.
Fawn soon arrived and was shifting into wolf form, turning off the elective fences and hoping that everything was alright. Sometimes some animals found their way inside. She looked at the wolf Ryder, sticking her tongue put before going over the fences and checked the herb.

  • Ryder rolled his eyes and snorted, I don't even know why I came with you.

His eyes widened as he walked along side her. And what do you propose is the solution? Do you have someone in mind as to whom you would like to mate with? Or someone who will be an alright Alpha to our pack? If we are unsure about when they are coming, I'm afraid that your wooing/mating process is going to have to be rushed.

  • Mackenzie sighed and sniffed the air. She tended when her mind sometimes played tricks on her. Well, I have no one in mind really. But I'm not trying to worry about it. It's just haunting that I don't know the date.
Fawn shifted into human form. "You came because not only is your Alpha important, but so is your Healer. She speaks to your gods every half moon. Stop complaining." she growled and lifted her head and looked at the herb. "Burdock... check. Catnip... check. Chomile... check. Juniper, Lavender, Marigold
, Tansy, and poppy... check. Borage...check. Good."

  • Micah sighed, Well..I can see why that would worry you, but I think we need to be concerned with the whole...no mate thing, when you told them you had one. They could come tomorrow, Kenzie, and then what...who will be your mate on such short notice...Ryder? He is not a good choice for this position. He fights with Fawn all the time.

    Ryder snorted, whatever.

  • Mackenzie shook her head and then dropped down. I know... Ryder is never a good choice. He needs to learn to grow up. That's why I usually send him with Fawn. She is most patient. She panted and looked around. Have anything in mind for lunch? Should we also go out and get Fawn something different like a hawk or a chickadee or a eagle? And I wonder why she's just a whit meat eater. she muttered.
Fawn shook her head. "How about you shift and help me pick some Borage leaves. I'll remember healers aren't important to you when you sick." she teased, smiling and leaning down to the patch of Borage

  • Ryder sighed and did as asked, "I don't get sick."

Micah nodded, whatever you believe will be fine. You are one of the best Alphas we have ever had. And I just hope you find someone who will be able to compliment your leadership instead of undermine your authority, Kenzie. I just worry aobut you.

  • Fawn frowned, she propped herself on her knees and gently picked at the borage. "Sure but you get wounded. And I, as healer, since witchcraft took our abilities to heal each other away, is supposed to tend you." she said. "But of course I'd never reject to tend such someone as handsome as yourself." she smiled kindly.
Mackenzie looked at her Beta and shook her head. Don't. Right now, lets worry about the pack and what's good for them. Food.

  • Micah wanted to argue, but he knew his place he did as he was told.

Ryder sighed, "but you secretly like me, so I'll be okay."

  • Fawn looked up at him and rolled her eyes. "Surrreee." she said sarcastically. She looked at the borage herbs and continued to pick them. "What makes you think that? It's against Healer rules of liking anyone."
Mackenzie looked at him. Really Micah. I'm fine. she reassured him. She caught that whiff of the sweet elk again and started to follow it.

  • Micah dropped it a bit reluctantly and followed her his fur rustling in the wind.

Ryder rolled his eyes, "not like that, I meant you actually like me as a friend, even though you won't admit it. You enjoy my companionship."

  • "Liking you is the only way I get through to you, Ryder. I like everyone. You may be annoying, but I have ran into some more childish pups." Fawn muttered and finished, putting them into a nearby basket and going over the fence.
Mackenzie soon saw the elk and looked back at Micah. Bullseye. she whispered.

  • "No way! I am definitely the most childish in the pack! I pride myself on that!" he joked.

Micah nodded and then got into an attack stance getting ready to lunge at their prey.
