sani stared at her trying to make sense of what she had just said. "y-you like me?" he stamered

"Yes..." Mistypelt said slowly, her heart pounding in her ears.

"I-I like you too" he said, purring.

Mistypelt smiled at him and looked up into the sunrise, her tail gently twining with Sani's.

Sani flinched in pain but still twined his tail with hers, purring.

Mistypelt closed her eyes and purred deeply.

Sani shifted, his back troubling him.

"Do you need more herbs?" Mistypelt asked, turning her head, her tail untwining.

Sani struggled for words as yet another spasm shot through his body.

Mistypelt winced and stood up.

"N-no, no" he replied as he caught his breath.
