    "All right. Like you, I'll start from the beginning. When I was born, my mother died giving birth to me and my three brothers. No queen was there to help us, so my brothers died a day later. But one of the kits that opened their eyes brought my chewed up solid food, keeping me alive. My father died a moon later due to greencough, and the kit that helped me stay alive died of whitecough. All of this was before I opened my eyes. When I did open my eyes, I was alone. No friends, no family. Only Naturewing, the she-cat that gave birth to the kit that fed me, cared for me. We were as close as sisters until she and the rest of her kits died of a fox attack. That day I realized I was truly alone. I fended for myself, and when I became an apprentice I had no mentor. I trained myself and proved myself worthy to the clan, but still my clanmates don't talk to me. They never have, and they never will."
    After he finished it was clear he was hurt. His eyes were cold with fear and sorrow, he looked smaller for some reason, and his tail was laying in the dirt.

    "That so sad! Why didn't your clanmates help you?", she said looking at him. She leaned against him and said, "I guess we both need each other for support huh?"

    He sighed and nodded. "Yeah, I guess we do. And my clanmates didn't help me because when I was born, I was muscular and lean. Kits aren't supposed to be the size that I was when first born, and as I grew it didn't help. They feared me, I guess."

    "Well, the leaders are starting the Gathering. We should go. But I want to meet you afterwards ok?", she said slipping out to go meet Berryclaw."How much different are they? Duskpelt is better then Berryclaw.", she thought.

    Duskpelt shook out his pelt then padded over to where his clan was mingling, becoming invisible in the group of cats. He became visible again as he padded to the side of the group, sitting on a rock next to some insanely muscular toms.

    As the leaders started to talk she looked up only to spot Duskpelt.

    Duskpelt wasn't even paying attention to the leaders. His eyes were fixed on Icefeather, the forest green pools warm with kindness and understanding.

    Her purple eyes gleamed with feeling as she stared at him.

    Even though it lasted a while, it only felt like a few short moments before the leaders ended the gathering. Padding back over to the bush, he noticed Berryclaw staring at him. Ignoring the warrior, he sat down by the bush, wrapping his tail around his paws.

    Berryclaw said, "What were you doing with him?" pointing his tail to the dark pelted warrior. "N-nothing. Just talking.", Icefeather said, "I'll meet you later ok?" "Fine.", he said and padded off. She hurried over to him and purred when she reached the bush

    Duskpelt smiled and purred, his eyes so warm nobody could resist looking into them. "I'm glad you came," he meowed. "But we don't have much time. MistClan will be looking for me soon."

    "FeatherClan too.", she added.

    Duskpelt sighed. "Meet me by the river tomorrow?" he asked, very aware of Berryclaw's eyes burning into his pelt.

    "Around sunhigh?", she said, "I'll meet you there!" With that she stood up and padded off, her tail waving.

    Duskpelt smiled before padding off at the back of his clan, gazing at her one final time before disappearing into his territory.

    Berryclaw was waiting for her and they padded off towards their clan. Of course with Berryclaw in the lead.

    The next day at dawn Duskpelt snuck out of camp, wandering the forest as time went by. Catching a large sparrow, he went over to the river and waited for sunhigh to approach. He let his tail glide just above the ground as he waited for Icefeather.

    Icefeather hunted and hunted until it was near sunhigh and she slipped out of camp to head towards the river.

    Lilycloud and Duskpelt walk up to Icefeather "I was calling for you, Icefeather!" hissed Duskpelt.
    "Relax Duskpelt she probaly didn't hear you"she meewed. Duskpelt shakes his head "Whatever"

    Lifting his head, Duskpelt heard the familiar pawsteps or Icefeather. Shaking his pelt, he waited patiently for her to arrive.
