"Ok," she breathed.

"Do you want me to stay or leave?"Jumppaw asked Spiritpaw.

"I'm sure you would rather leave and I don't blame you." She hesitated, "But, I could use the company."

"Then I will stay."he said feeling bad for her.

"Thank you." she murmured. "It really wasn't my idea you know. I was r***d."

"That's horrible!"he said"Who did that to you?"

"I'm not sure," she muttered, placing her paw on her protruding stomach. "He was black with yellow eyes."

"Why are there cats like that?"he asked

"I don't know," was all she could say.

"I'm going to give you some herbs so you'll be ready for the kits."Spottedpool said pushing a pile of herbs towards to her.

"Thank you," she croaked as she nibbled on the herbs.

"You're welcome."she said kindly.

She winced at an especially bad contraction. "I'm . . . do you think I could have some water?"

"Sure. Jumppaw do you think you could get that for her."Spottedpool asked.
"Ok."he said and went and got some water and came back,"Here."he said giving the ball of moss soaked in water to Spiritpaw.

"Thank you," she said. She sipped the water from the moss ball. She lay back and tried to sleep.

He sat down and just looked up at the celling of the nursery.

She stiffled a scream. "Spottedpool?!" she screeched urgently.

"Yes!"she said alert
