Morningshade curled up beside him and drifted off to sleep too. She dreamed that Bramblepelt had went back to Shadowclan and abandoned her. She woke up in a fret. "Its only a dream! she thought, relieved.

"Good morning Bramblepelt!" Morningshade called to her friend, as she bounded towards him.

As she padded into the forest, Morningshade immediately caught the scent of a squirrel. She spotted it at the base of a large tree, collecting nuts. She crept down, waited and then..... pounced on it and with a quick snap of its neck, killed it.
