No, I did know that. It's all over my...everything XD I don't have anything against it, it's just it should have been David Tennant. Everyone did have one of his episodes of Doctor Who in mind ;)

Okay it makes sense now. Since Matt Smith is carrying the torch instead of David Tennant this is not only crossing his own timestream but ALSO rewriting time, and altering a fixed point in time.
So that's why the world ends in 2012. It just takes a while for the events of this to catch up to us December 21st.
