The second training session [private, Patchpaw]

    Leafeye stood by the entrance to the apprentice den. "Patchpaw, have you eaten yet? I want to show you some fighting moves today" she meowed softly as watched her apprentice with pure affection.

    Patchpaw raised her head, her eyes blury with sleep. "No," she mewed.

    "You better go and get yourself something to eat then, I will wait" she meowed with a nod before walking back outside with her head held high.

    Patchpaw nodded and padded over to the fresh-kill pile and took a fish. She took a delicate bite, self concious for some reason.

    Leafeye laid down nearby and watched her apprentice eat. She closed her eyes and enjoyed the warmth of the sun.

    After she finished her fish, she quickly washed her ears. "I'm ready," she told Leafeye.
