Stormflight relaxed in the cool water, then looked around, seeing if there was anyone to talk to.

    Brackenheart swam in the water.

Tears rolled down Jaywatch's face as he heard the leader and his mate's final cry. The black cat went to the apprentice den next, then the warriors. Jaywatch could only watch as the black cat killed the last warrior, then dragged an elder out onto the grass. The elder's eyes were blind and he could tell that she also could not move or speak. The elder was turned to face him as the black cat smiled. It was Jaywatch's grandmother he held, Jaywatch's last living relative.

The black cat lashed out with it's claws and slowly etched blood down her pelt. He marked her with a pattern. It looked like a circle with a spiral and spikes then a star in the middel. Blood dripped down the fur. And tough the wounds were deep and harsh with fur and skin on the ground, she was still alive. The black cat snarled the slashed a single mark through the symbol. Blood sprayed the forest floor.

Axel rested himself down under a shadey area of large leaves and took a deep, relaxing, breath enjoying the rushing sounds of the waterfall echo in his ears.

The ebony shecat, Junglepaw yawns. She spots a silver flash under the water and dives down, grasping the fish in her jaws. She eats it right there in the water. It's too hot to get out.

Jaywatch could only watch as she bled to death. Something strange was happening. The moment she died he saw a flicker. A heart beat thumped in his ears and a terrible image appeared in his mind. His grandmother, a twisted mummy with a scar of the sybol scratched into her heart. Blood dripped from her mouth, nose and eyes. Her teeth were barred in pain and fury. Then blood poured out in such great quantities it flooded the earth. Jaywatch's paws fluttered out as he reached for something to grab onto. He found nothing and sunk into the redness. HE screamed as red filled his vision. He felt his breath leaving him and darkness taking him, but he forced his eyes open. He saw his grandmother laying dead at his feet, that same shrivelled mummy he'd seen in his vision. But this was diffrent, this was REAL.

The black cat was gone and Jaywatch was open to scream and weep, so he did both. He screamed so loud he was sure the whole forest heard him but he didn't care. He wept till all the moister in his body was gone. The mummy slowly crumbled away as he did so. When last crumb of fur was gone, he heard voices. A patrol of at least 10 cats filltered into camp. Jaywatch's eys grew blurry. He blinked and looked up. He saw a single bright white cat looming over him with pure black eyes that had no whites...

Redpaw's eyes flashed open as sleep evaded him. His eyes flared with annoyance as he padded out of the cave, eyes narrowing as the sunlight harshened against his sight.

  • Blackpaw ran up onto the waterfall wanting to jump off. He crouched ready to jump.
