"Don't be rude, Jay," Mercedes narrowed her eyes, although she herself was feeling nervous. She blinked and starred at Ace, "I'll show you back to our camp, if you'd like. You look hungry."

Mercedes stood up, brushing herself off. She pulled a candy bar from her pocket, one she had saved since her previous flight into town, and offered it towards Ace.

Mercedes gestured it, giggling. "I don't bite," she said. "Candy bars are good, you know."
