Clove near pointed rock training

    Clove nodded and tested it, ramming her shoulder into the warrior with all her strength

    Shadow purred "you are a brilliant fighter as well. Now lets go on to the next move. It may be tricky though. Go in your opponent's sight and slide under them then quicklynip or claw them,'' said Shadow demonstrating.

    Clove purred at the praise and stood straight. Se then focused again and jumped at the nip. She consecrated again and slowly sunk into the shadows behind Shadow before slipping under him and nipping his back leg. Adding to the move she pushed his legs out from under him and ran out before he could crush her.

    "Hmm nice adjustment to the move,'' Shadow mewed as he got up.
    ''Your speed will be good in battle.But usually cats with speed don't have much power but I don't see any problems. We should figure out what your weakness is so we can turn it around,''

    Clove nodded,
    'Well I cant climb.. As you've seen.' The to be chuckled as she thought. 'I guess im a lot smaller than other cats, so that will mean im lighter and can easily be pushed over.'

    "Bigger cats are often slower" Shadow said, "So you need to use speed to disable or dodge their attacks"

    Clove nodded and thought again,
    'What can we do about the fact I cant climb?'

    "You need to work on your confidence" said Shadow, "it would help with tree climbing and other things as well, it's time we tried practice fighting against other apprentices"

    Clove nodded and smirked. This was something she both could do and loved to do.

    Shadow watched as Whisper and Clove circled, then whisper knocked Clove over! "Come on Clove!" he thought "make your mentor proud...

    Clove gripped Whisperers paw and pulled the apprentice over and rolled over them, before pinning them. The cat thrashed as Clove jumped off and waited for them to stand,
    'That all you got Whisper, come on. Dont be gentle.' She said a smile on her face.

    "Fantastic!" Shadow mewed, "That was one of the best fights that ive ever seen!" "Your going to be a great Cave Guard"

    Clove broke out into a huge grin and pushed out her chest with pride.
    'Really you think so?'

    "Yes" "I think with training you could be one of the best fighters ever!" Shadow said, Thi... he began when a low growl interupted his thoughts, "Badgers!" said Shadow, they turned and two badgers were brushing their way twords the two cats, Shadow lept at one of them knocking it over and biting it on the neck, he tried too rake his claws down it's face but the other hit him in the back of the head!Shadow could feel his vision blurr and he started to get dizzy but he still tried to attack one of the badgers. He jumped at it but this time it was ready, it smashed its paw into him and he went flying!

    Clove screeched in shock before shaking her head and racing forward scrapping her claws through one of the badgers eyes. The eyes bled, smothering the white fur in the red liquid. She listened as the creature screeched in pain and she race forwards taking its throat as it was calling out. There she hung on for dear life, and the badger payed on attention to her because of the pain.

    Shadows head spun, "Clove!" he thought, "the trainee hadn't been fully trained and might not be able to kill the badgers" Shadow rushed in and saw his trainee hanging on too one of the badgers throats! Shadow jumped at it his head still pounding from the blow and knocked the badger over barely ducking under the blow the other badger had thrown at him, he lept in and raked his claws down the badgers stomach, a killing blow. The badger fell limp on the rocks, its blood seeping into the ground.

    Clove watched all of this from her position but on bit down harder on the badgers wind pipe. With no air the badger stood no chance and fell to the ground. Dead...
    She'd done it, she'd killed a badger on her first day! It was impossible to be believe but there it was, dead on the ground blood dripping from its eyes and mouth. They had won!

    Shadow breathed heavily, "Good job" he said, "Thats certainly not exactly the training session I'd planned but you did well!" thats when Scorch broke throught the plants "Is anyone hurt?" he said, "Im fine" Shadow replied, "How 'bout you Clove?"

    Clove looked herself over and nodded
    'Fine,'She said in her dreamy voice, slightly dazed by the fight..
