Did I know I was being a stnker by being so silent (Yes, Shift, 'Rayk-like' would fit here) and clammed up? Yep. Did I care? No comment...
I knew that if Flick was letting her within twelve feet of us, there must be a good reason. And I also knew that there was every chance that he was betting I wasn't going to tackle her without good reason... I just had to keep reminding myself not to look for one.
I felt Rayk slipping, so I doggedly hauled him up higher on my shoulders and mentally swore that he'd be getting a lot of flak when all was said in done. Specifically along the lines of, 'Rayk-you-tall-dark-freak-next-time-you-fight-Scrayp-make-sure-you're-prepared-or-I'll-smack-you-into-next-week.' Another strong posibility was, 'Next-time-I-carry-you-you'll-be-thrown-into-a-bright-sunny-lake.' Nothing bugs him worse than sunny places.
But I had to remind myself to stay on task, despite the burning, searing reminder in my shoulders that I'd just gotten in a fight recently...
Which then sorely reminded me... "Uh, just out of curiosity, has anyone seen Scrayp recently?"

    Scrayp
I groaned and stood up, now again human-looking. My hands and shoulders were mildly uncomfortable, but I felt much better. I never felt much pain. At least not for long - the whitecoats made sure of that. I jerked my hand and felt a dull throb bolt through my arm as it relocated itself. It would heal in roughly ten minutes.
I'd stopped bleeding, and I could think clearly. What had I been doing? Oh, right... Looking for Elizabeth. Hoping for a round with Galen's boyfriend.
So I started tracking the scent again, following the potent trail that led me from the halls, to an out-of-the-way place, back to the halls, then to the same room with Flicky boy, then to another room with... some doggish girl... then towards... the others.
Something fishy was going on. Either she was going to extract vengance on them, or... she was going nto join them. And I was gonna figure out which...

    Shift
I glanced up at the Australian girl again, and facepalmed. "When do I ever have anything important to say, Toxin?" I asked in a mock-frustrated tone, arching an eyebrow.

  • "Good point." I smirked, and glanced up at the Aussie like he did. "Who are you?" I murmured, narrowing my eyes as I asked the question.

  • Shift
I smirked at the relinquishment of fact from her that I really do make points sometimes, and glanced up as well, idly noting that my head almost brushed the second-to-lowest bough. Man, I reallly need to watch my head when I walk through the forest...
And nodded, "Good question. You got a name?" I called up, head slightly cocked.

  • Flick
I frowned, unsure. Lizzie looked about to answer. Then her eyes widened. She looked like she had just smelled a ghost (Get it? Get it? Cause shes got a super nose, so shes likely to smell a ghost before seeing one? I'm under-appreciated in my time.). "Yes," she said, "And hes coming this way, so we need to get going!" I looked at her suspiciously, but she seemed completely earnest. And, more important, terrified.
"Then we should get going." I looked at Galen, worried. "Are you sure you can hold him?" I asked her. Lizzie was directing Raven, Alex, and Charge, who headed off in the way she pointed, looking suspicious. Cass followed. Lizzie was now waiting for us.

  • Galen
I gulped, seeing as the Bane of My Existence was heading our way and the Bane of His Existence was across my shoulders. I shot Flick a worried look, somehow still infinitesimally glad that he was still there, and glanced in the direction Elizabeth and the others were heading. I finally looked down at the ground, then back up, feeling mildly worried. "I don't know... But I just wasn't ready to give him up to her yet, as stupid as that sounds," I muttered, feeling more, rather than less, petty in my deliberations - despite the fact that she used to be an Eraser.
I'm not sure if it was weird that I kept wanting to smack myself over and over every time I thought about how idiotic the whole thing was. But I did.
"But if he doesn't wake up soon, he'll slow us down and I'm not ready to leave him behind," I finished quietly, biting my lip in order to keep to myself the fact that I'd already been in a... well, a scrape with the Scrapper.

  • Flick
I nodded quietly. "Makes sense," I said quietly. "Though I'd sooner trust her then me," I added quietly, thinking of how I betrayed her. "She seems almost even more freaked out by him then we are, and we're trying to escape," I said, beginning to walk. "Do you want me to help you with his weight?" I offered. I knew she didn't trust Elizabeth fully, but she also needed help, whether or not she would admit it. Alex might have offered, but I think he was preoccupied with his sister. Once we got to the door of the courtyard, I looked in. Part of the roof was crumbling, like Elizabeth had said. She had punched it a few times, it seems, because her hands were full of splinters, and then it look like Charge had flown up, landed on the roof- and it collapsed. Everyone was dusty and looked a little creepy. Alex and Cass were hovering in the air, Cass, holding Charges hand as he practiced flying with her. Raven and Elizabeth were on the ground, waiting for us.

  • Galen
I gave a weak, grateful smile, feeling better than I had before, and shifted Rayk a little so Flick would be able to help out. "Yeah... Thanks, Flick," I muttered, relieved that we had a mildly better chance of escaping now. I didn't like accepting the fact that I wasn't strong enough to carry him or fight Rayk or anything like that, though I knew that I didn't have much of a choice and Flick was doing his best to help. "Let's get out of here," I murmured again, closing my eyes briefly as I thought about him getting closer as we stood there, then fought back a wave of nausea.
    Yeesh.

    Shift
"Uh... Hi, there," I said, giving a brief nod and wondering where on earth she'd come from in the last half hour.

  • Flick
Once she re positioned Rayk, I hefted up the side of him that needed support. "On three, start flying," I told her, and counted slowly to three, then began to flap slowly, rising into the air, still holding Rayk with her. I didn't want to fly too fast for her, and I didn't know how fast she was planning. The others shot into the air after us. Lizzie looked nervous, and was almost as clumsy as Charge.

  • Galen
I flashed him a relieved smile and started flapping slowly as well, trying to match him wingbeat for wingbeat, inwardly wincing at the pull of the wing muscles over the claw marks from my impromptu beating, though it didn't bleed, for which I was thankful for. I thought I heard something behind us and looked down the immediate hall to see a dark figure stumbling down a hall. "Uh... Okay, we should probably get a move on," I suggested, shooting a sideways glance at Scrayp's slowly approaching form.

I frowned at what she said, and glanced down. "Maybe I should take Rayk myself?" I offered, worried. She was hurt, and if she had to fly fast and carry Rayk at the same time, I was worried about what might happen. He was kind of heavy, but I felt that I could carry him. Lizzie looked scared, but she didn't flee, just continued flying with the others.

  • ooc: Sure thing! 'Course I do! Just make sure ya read the rules and make your posts grammar/punctually correct and shtuff. Epic Saphira pic, by the way! :D

    Galen
I bit my lip, and turned to look at him, worried a little at the thought of him carrying him while we were in the process of escaping a mad - crazy, not angry - Eraser with the extra weight after being captured. But... then again, he was in better condition than I was. I gave a weary nod and a half-smile: "If you think you can. Thanks, Flick," I said quickly, almost able to feel my muscles relax at the prospect of giving Rayk over to him... Despite the concern that he would be weighed down a little by Rayk. "Just don't fall back, okay?" I asked softly, drilling him with a look that I hoped conveyed that there was no way he was going to get captured again.

  • Flick
I nodded, taking Rayks weight completely. He was heavy enough so that for a second, I almost fell a few feet, but then I managed it. I could handle his weight. Galen was hurt. I rolled my eyes at her look. "Don't you fall back, either." I continued to fly, catching up with the others.

  • ooc: You have a preference how she escapes, dragonbella?

    Galen
I gave a soft snort, then a wry smirk. "Right, 'cause I want to get captured by a bloodthirsty Eraser who's had it in for me for six years. That makes sense," I retorted mildly, trying to keep up the humor that kept things - hopefully - semi-optimistic.

  • Flick
I snorted. "So we're travelling with one whose had a grudge against me for about three years, and escaping from one whose had it in for you for six years? I'm trying to decide which one is worse. He'll kill us, but she'll be all grouchy and stuff.... I dunno, he sounds pretty nice." I was trying to sound cheerful, to keep the mood light.

  • Galen
I cracked a small smile, feeling a little better with Flick's humor returning, but something still felt off. I decided against telling him the various histories between him and Shift, Rayk, and me. "Naw, I can handle grumpiness, and Rayk can just grunt through it, but death? I don't think Rayk would let that stop him from wreaking havoc," I teased back with a smirk.

    Scrayp
I snarled, seeing them start to fly. Time to use what my whitecoats gave me. I unfurled dark, heavy, widespread wings, courtesy of eagle DNA - more suited to soaring and long distance than speed and manueverability. I flapped hard twice and was over fifty feet in the air combined with my Eraser strength and the density of the muscle in my wing arms. This was going to be long and hard, but I thought I scented Grace with them... Problematic? Maybe. Suspicious? Very.
    Fantastic.

  • Yep! I think...

Phoenix heard the cage door open with two Erasers at each side of her, with out thinking, she dashed and flapped once, but the Erasers caught on her wings. "Ow!" she whimpered. The Erasers chuckled at her pain. The leader walked up to her and said with a smirk, "Leaving so soon?" he put his claw under Phoenix's chin. She pulled away with fear in her eyes. She now had little tear drops leave her eyes. The two Earsers dragged Phoenix to a glass dome, they let go of her now bloody wings. Phoenix opened them and was ready to fight. Erasers came from all side of her, barring there teeth. Phoenix flapped and flew up to the top of the dome, she punched it and heard it crack.

  • Flick
I smirked at what she said. "I'm not sure. However, if I get tired of my sister, I guess I could kill her in her sleep or something. So lets just-" I looked down, and saw a girl punching a ceiling. My eyes widened, and I was about to do something, but Raven beat me to it, flying down swiftly and punching the dome a second time so it broke, then grabbed one of her arms.
"C'mon," he said, and flew up, leading her back to us.
    I rolled my eyes.
