• "No dur why do ya tink I wanna be da stwongest warya in Thundaclan hisory!" Snowkit squealed at his mother.

  • "Why would you not want to be, dear?" Chocolatemousse asked. She thought that every kits' dream was to become the best warrior.

  •
Duskykit poked the prey experimentally with one claw before taking a small, hesitant bite. He swallowed it, but made a funny face depicting how strange the meat tasted to him. Loosing interest in what was to him a weird and currently undesirable type of food, the young tom pounced on one of the dark feathers laying on the ground. With a mischievous in his eye, he grasped it in his mouth and bounded over to Snowkit who he began trying to bat with the feather.

  • Snowkit rolled over and started laughing as his brother batted him with a feather. He quickly grabbed a feather and started batting at Duskykit, too.

  •
Duskykit's face split into a wide smile and he giggled uncontrollably when he, too, was attacked with one of the feathers. Between breaths he continued to lunge at Snowkit with his own feather, but soon tired and flopped down onto his side for a quick rest.

  • Ochrekit followed his mother out and sat down in the crevice of her stomach with a sigh. He was depressed and just wanted life to be different. Ochrekit wanted to be the coolest kit ever, the one people talked about.

  • "Is there a problem, Ochrekit?" Specklefur meowed, noticing her kit's sigh.

Classickit bounded out of the den with Nilekit playfully behind Ochrekit, tackling each other over and over again until they were out of breath. "Okay, okay, you win!" Nilekit heaved, swishing his sleek to behind him. "Told ya' I would," the black and white she-kit teased, cuffing him on the head.

  • "No one likes me!" Ochrekit complained. He was upset that everyone talked about Benniejet and her kits, yet his mother was just a dweeb and hardly anyone knew her. Ochrekit wished his mom was Benniejet just so others would know his name. "No one even knows me!"

  • "Because just about every cat you talk to knows Benniejet and her kits, yet most cats don't even know who you are!" Ochrekit yelled at his mother.

  • Specklefur couldn't help but chuckle. "Maybe not, be me not being 'popular' has nothing to do with you. I probably wouldn't like to be extremely well-known, anyway - I'm not a huge fan of attention. Besides - Benniejet is a Savannah, which is one of the things that makes her well known and recognizable. After all, there are only so many of them in our clan, and if they know Benniejet they'd most likely know who her kits were as well," the tortoiseshell breathed in heavily after the mouthful of words she had just spewed out. "Besides - why does it matter so much to you?" she asked Ochrekit, giving him a lick on the head.

  • "So what being popular is awesome. I want to be know and be cool like Nightstar, Chancepaw, and Yellowtail." Ochrekit mewed with a depressed expression on his face.

  • "Like I said, I have nothing to do with who you are. Go ahead, make a name for yourself, just don't get into too much trouble, okay?" Specklefur purred, followed by a brief wink.

  • "Okay, I just want to be known as the cool kit," Ochrekit mewed thankful that his mom wasn't mad at him for wanitng a name for himself.

  • Chocolatemousse purred at Ochrekit's enthusiasm. "Well, maybe the first step is learning how to fight. I mean, with sheathed claws and no biting."

  • "I already know how to fight like the fiercest warrior," Ochrekit mewed and with a snarl he pounced at Chocolatemousse even if she wasn't his mother. The black tom had grown up with her and she was teasing him.
